A/N - I'm playing catch up so the chapters aren't perfect...but they aren't the worst LOL And before anyone asks : yes, this is on the alternate endings list Enjoy!

Winter could never get bored of his life with Autumn. It was truly everything he could have dreamed of: beautiful wife, gorgeous home, a job he loved...most of the time. There was no way he could be any happier. The one thing he did worry about though was that it wasn't exciting enough for her. Autumn had lived a far different life than he did; she had stories from her younger days that would astound and confuse anyone that heard them. It was so different from the life they had built together with their regular date nights to the same restaurant before returning home to watch a movie or dance around their living room. She never complained and they always made great memories on those dates; but the doubts never left him. He worried that eventually she was going to get bored; that she would finally realize she could pull the most exciting man in the world and finally leave Winter and his same restaurant and collections of old records for good. He couldn't let that happen, he wanted to do something that would truly surprise her.

So he decided to find a new activity that they could enjoy on their date night. While he was planning though there were a few things he kept in mind. They couldn't go anywhere overly crowded or loud; both Autumn and Winter enjoyed a calmer atmosphere. Like their favorite quiet booth in the corner of their usual wine bar or the comfort of their matching chairs in their library. It couldn't be anything too "sporty." That just wasn't his style at all. Though he had taken Autumn to a rage room before at Reece's recommendation and they had a lovely time; even if the manager said they weren't allowed back unless they rented the entire building out due to Autumn scaring the other patrons with the precision of her strikes. And finally there had to be wine. He knew that Autumn would be more open to trying new things if there was wine.

With a little help from Sorscha, Winter found a local pottery shop that offered a paint and sip night. After calling he found out that he could reserve the whole place for an evening so they could not "paint" and sip, but also throw their own pottery. It was perfect, marrying their joint love of art with their shared love of wine in the comfort of a completely private night. Sure, it was a little pricey, but he knew not to worry about that. Autumn loved it when he planned something for her, even though she was technically paying for it herself. So nothing was off limits as he planned nights worth of her.

On Wednesday, their usual date night, the surprises started early as Autumn found the outfit Winter had picked for her to wear. She was confused that he had chosen one of his old stained black jumpers and a pair of faded jeans, both of which she only ever wore to paint. Her husband hadn't told her what they were doing that night, but given the wardrobe she had to assume it wasn't their usual dinner spot followed by a movie at home. When she came downstairs she found Winter dressed very similarly to herself, a wide smile on his face as he watched her descend the stairs.

"My love," Winter's voice was quiet as he took her in. It wasn't her normal style, but really she could wear anything and he'd find her the most gorgeous person in the room. "You look absolutely stunning."

"Thank you, my sweet." She pulled him into a quick kiss. "Should I be concerned that you dressed me like my brother?"

"Absolutely not, my darling. I think even Marjorie would agree I bagged the better Knight sibling."

They shared one more kiss, both of them laughing and smiling through it as they thought about the spot-on comparison. Winter drove them the short distance to the studio, holding hands with Autumn the whole way there. When they parked out front, he saw her eyes light up; her expression only grew more excited as he led her into the studio and the only other person in the room was the instructor. When the door was locked behind them, she could no longer hide the smile on her face. The teacher approached them with two glasses of wine and showed them to their wheels, setting them up with clay and showing them the basics before leaving them pretty much on their own.
