The voice in the dark had alerted Luceya. With an elegant flick of her left foot, the Autogun flew up where she quickly aimed it at the strange figure in the darkness.
,,You are probably wondering who I am." Said the figure in lightly accentuated Low Gothic as it came closer.
Its shape became clearer with every step. It was clearly humanoid though neither human nor Mutant as it clearly posessed hooves. Like the ones from a Errossian Steppe goat. Atop the strange hooves there were pale-white skinned legs with several bonelike pertrusions in the knee-area. The figure clearly had 5 fingers though all ending in sharp talons. It had no hair on its head where white dagger-like ears were sitting. Its eyes as black as the void and sharp teeth in its mouth. It wore some sort of two parter short combat cloth from which daggers and a strange gun hung from.
,,Xenos." She said with disdain.
,,I would prefer Rodan." He said.
He now was clearly visible. He was a Morellian Deathsworn Assassin. In his right hand he clenched his bow. A bronze-dark grey spiked metal bow with arrows made out of some kind of turqoise-green wood and tipped with an arrowhead out of pure adamantium. His face looked almost smug, were it not for his black, empty eyes.
,,I am here for the same reason you are, to kill that Necron."
I'm not here for it.
,,Of course you weren't, but now you are. Just as my benefactor planned."
Your benefactor?
,,The man who sent me here. And before you ask, I don't know who he is nor what his plan is."
The red ornaments of his armour glimmed in the flickering lights and almost made it seem like as if it was human blood.
He is not my master.
,,He really is not, but you are an integral part to his plan.", the alien continued, ,,You know, back home on Morellia I was alone, sleeping in the gutters and abandoned by my family. He found me and gave me a purpose."
Luceya wished that she could not relate, but she did. With her it had been the same. Before being found by the silent Sisterhood she had been shunned by society, even by her family for something which wasn't her fault. But she had never thought about it as being abandoned. In fact, she had never cried tears after someone. She was simply biologically unable to do so.
Tell me, why should I care?
,,You want to protect humanity, right? Protect your sires vision. For his will, you should care. If not, you will submit hundreds to a brutal Necron rule and enslavement."
He had been right about that and Luceya knew it. If she'd let it happen, Hundreds of thousands of human civilians would be drawn into that Necrons quest for revenge. There was no more doubt in her mind, that thing had to die.
What do you have in mind, Xenos?
He took the strange gun from his holster and threw it towards her.
,,Here, that is a Grawth Scattergun. It is rather effective against the larger Tomb Spiders. Use it well however, you do not have many shots."
Don't worry. Unlike your kind, I know how to fight without a gun.
,,And still you are not speaking despite me knowing that you can." The Xeno said.
You have to earn that first. So, where to?
,,Follow me" He said and lead Luceya down a Corridor leading away from the governeurs room and towards the bridge. They made good time and even Luceya had to admit that that Xenos knew what he was doing. Every Arrow he fired was an immediate kill on the 'Assimilated'. She was a little impressed although still not trusting him. After all he was a Xenos, and they could never be trusted.
However Luceya herself managed to do quite well too. For her it was sufficiant to cut off their heads. Not as elegant but it got the job done. They fought and fought and fought through the seemingly endless hordes of enemies until they had reached the bridge.
,,After you!" The Xenos insisted, now having and Autogun in hand and his bow on his back.
Luceya just nodded dismissively and held her Needlespine Bolt Pistol at the ready. But at the same time they were entirely oblivious to what happened on the planet, as the Uprising had begun.
