"Will you be able to come to your own shop, be an owner, sell your food, help the customer and your employees, and NOT RUN OFF?" EEE

"So, Uhm..." I tried to make an excuse.

"You see..." What the fuck do I tell her?

"It's been four weeks since you came from the wedding. The last time you visited, WHICH WAS THE DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING BECAUSE APPARENTLY YOU COULDN'T HANDLE THE STRESS!"

"You make a real good point..."

"JOELL,"

"Oops, internet issues!"

"I'm literally in your building, face-to-face. What internet issues?"

Apparently, I have gotten really close to Mena ever since a while ago, when the crazy son-of-a-bitch ex of hers was officially turned in to the police. He was guilty of domestic violence: emotional, physical, and psychological abuse. Threats: she was being warned that if she didn't do something, there would be consequences, and child endangerment: putting cute potato through hell, and attempted to harm her.

Unnecessarily, it became a bigger deal and lasted longer than putting his ass in jail, because I was falsely accused of cyberbullying. There was no evidence of that. They confirmed that the replies sent to him were from his ex's, an act of self-defense to get herself out of it one way or another.

The case against him was stronger than whatever excuse he had, and backfired on him despite the attempts to free himself. So bitch is going to be fuel in prison. Good!

"Joell?" I snap back to reality... facing the horrifying stare. No wonder I don't get to hang around Aima as much! Aunt-ma is truly to be afraid of.

"I'm sorry, Mena—" I stand up.

"You don't act so." Her arms crossed, I just stood still.

"Is it so busy? Do they need so much help?" I ask, facing her once more, and she shakes her head.

"We just need you back, Joell. You can't stick to us like glue, appear for one day looking so stressed like the Earth is going to flatten itself, and then disappear for a few weeks to months with no contact whatsoever!" I winced.

"I'll come back," I nod along with her,

"IF I get to have Aima, my cute potato, visiting more often." With that jerk in jail, cute potato should have more freedom outdoors, especially with me, considering... Nevermind, I wasn't home those few weeks. Ahem.

"Aren't things in a better situation?" I need her to agree!

"With that boyfriend of yours treating you two like queens with every chance he gets?" I smirk willingly.

"H-How do you know that?!" Busted!

"You were gone for weeks!"

"Have you checked yourself out?" I sit next to her,

"You're so much less strict, more at ease, and that's a new outfit you dressed in, a different taste, and a new smell! You—" I boop her nose, sitting down next to her at the same time.

"Are a rare case for trying out new things. Ryi really became your sun after the rain." Her face literally almost explodes with how red it's shading. She's shaking her head at the floor like it'll make her bangs longer and hide her face.

"I like the change." I smile at her statement.

"Me too, I like the change."
