Plant has been making me things out of the flowers he picks with David. Being completely honest, I don't mind babysitting. Younger children rely on other people for engagement and help with smaller tasks that someone older could easily do themselves. It's almost Pathetic. He snaps out of the small space in his mind, looking over to the small light green child holding up a crown made out of flowers, "Whatcha got there?" I hum, entertained by the wide grin on his face. "Plant!" "Words kid, what kind of plant is that?" I smile, observing the confusion and effort to attempt to say the word, "f-flow-ur." Plant stands tall, very proud of the new word spoken. "Exactly." I smile, shifting slightly where I sit so that the beaming child can get closer. Eventually Plant works up the courage to fix the backing of the sewn stems and place the art gifted to me carefully on my head. "Thank you." I hum, Plant nods appreciatively, glad the gift was accepted. "Pathetic, both you and that twig. Be better." I cringe, my head beginning to fill with disgust, and slight pain. I look up, seeing concerned eyes peering back at me, studying my body language. "Sorry, I'm fine Plant." The small boy only pouts, moving closer and against my side, trying to give me comfort to the best of his abilities.

Colder winds begin to brush against the two figures, the air flush against the light jacket being worn to prevent catching said cold. The air mage sighs, moving from the ground and onto his feet, picking up the younger boy by his overall straps; walking back towards the warm(er) building. "Is your dad back from his outing?" The sky devil slayer asks before setting the green boy down. "Plant." "I'll take that as a no then-" he sighs, sitting down into the harder office chair. "Taking a break are we now? Doesn't seem very productive." The annoying snicking echoes in my head. "I doubt a small break will hurt." I reply in a hushed tone, hoping Plant won't hear as he's messing with the laid out papers near the door. "It just might. You never know." The sky devil slayer rolls his eyes, presses his fingers into his temple and groans- "this is gonna be a long day..."
