Chapter 20:

Averie woke up in the middle of the night again screaming in absolute horror, she hugged her knees and cried, Tori had took melatonin so she was out and didn't hear a thing, same thing with André. But JoJo on the other hand, did hear the entire thing, she got out of bed and went to her niece's room, JoJo "hey it's just me, come here. It's just me", Averie "I want it to stop. I keep having visions of the whole thing, seeing her raped, hearing her cries. I want it to stop titi", JoJo "shh, just lay back down", Averie "I want my mommy", JoJo "I know you do, but she's currently sleeping, what do you say tonight we just let mommy rest and I'll stay in here with you and keep you company. Tell me why you keep blaming yourself, I know you said that it's because you didn't stop him from hurting her but is that really it", Averie "yes titi, I was scared. I just froze, my body felt numb, it was like time just stopped for a moment and after it happened. I was so scared for her titi, she was crying and then when it was over, he left like nothing happened. Morning came
Tori "have you seen JoJo? She's not in the guest room", André "do you think she could be with Averie in her room", Tori "I don't know, did our daughter have another nightmare or panic attack and we didn't know about it", André "I mean we did both take two melatonins, so that's probably why we didn't hear her. We were totally knocked out", Tori "I feel bad", JoJo "don't you go saying that now, the two of you haven't gotten any sleep because of your daughter's panic attacks and her not being able to sleep. So stop, the both of you, I was with her the entire night, she did indeed have a panic attack but I was able to talk with her and help her calm down and we went back to sleep. She's currently still sleeping", Tori "thank you for staying with her", she said before started to cry and break down, JoJo "Tori, hey what's going on", Tori "that incident tore me apart, I don't feel the same at times. I feel like a different person, and it hurts my heart. I don't know myself anymore", JoJo "Victoria Loren stop doing this to yourself. You are putting way too much pressure on yourself and it's not okay, you were raped, and it's not something that is just gonna leave your head right away. Unfortunately it's something you have to live with for the rest of your life, and this will only make you stronger, because deep down I know my baby sister is still inside of you. I love you", Tori "I love you too, I'm gonna go take a shower, do you think you could stay with me and keep me company", JoJo "of course", André "I'm gonna start making breakfast", Tori "okay", Tori got in the shower and JoJo stood with her in the bathroom to keep her company.
