The night had been perfect for Rudransh and Mihitha romantic in every way. They had just left Nila at Jiyaan’s house, laughing and talking with him before heading out for their long-awaited date night. For the first time in what felt like ages, they were simply a couple in love, free from the burdens of their lives. The conversations flowed easily, filled with teasing, tenderness, and confessions that had long been waiting to be spoken.

Rudransh, ever the stoic, allowed himself to be vulnerable that evening. In the dim light of the restaurant, he had opened up, his hand gently holding Mihitha’s as he spoke from the heart.

“I don’t know what I would do without you, Mihitha,” he had said softly, his voice betraying a rare crack of emotion. His eyes shimmered, just for a moment.

Mihitha had smiled, leaning in closer, her fingers brushing away a tear that threatened to fall. “You’ll never have to find out, Rudra,” she whispered. “We’re in this together, always.”

The night continued in a perfect dance of love, with whispered promises, shared smiles, and moments of pure affection. Even a small makeout session in the dark corner of the restaurant had sparked old flames, reminding them of the intensity they still shared.

They left the restaurant filled with love, driving home in comfortable silence, the air between them charged with happiness and a sense of peace.

But that peace was shattered in an instant.

As they drove down the quiet highway, Mihitha caught the flicker of lights in the distance. She barely had time to process the oncoming truck swerving out of control, its headlights blinding them as it barreled straight toward their car.

“Rudra!” Mihitha’s voice rang out in panic.

Rudransh reacted swiftly, swerving to avoid the truck, but it was too late. The impact was catastrophic. The truck slammed into the side of their car, and the world erupted in a cacophony of screeching metal and shattered glass.

The car spun wildly, the force of the crash throwing Mihitha against the door. Her head hit the window with a sickening thud, and everything became a blur. The car flipped over, and her world went black.

When Mihitha came to, her body was screaming in pain. She felt trapped her legs pinned under the wreckage of the car. Every breath was agony, her chest burning with sharp, stabbing pain. She could feel warm blood trickling down the side of her face, her vision blurred and dark at the edges.

“Mihitha...” Rudransh’s voice came through faintly, but she couldn’t turn to him. Her body wouldn’t respond.

She tried to speak, but her throat was dry, and her voice barely a whisper. “Rudra…?”

Her heart pounded with terror as she fought to stay conscious. Every inch of her body hurt, but the pain in her chest was the worst. She struggled to move, but her legs were trapped, and each attempt sent a wave of nausea through her.

Rudransh groaned from the driver’s side, slowly lifting his head. His vision was hazy, and the world around him spun, but his first thought was of Mihitha. He turned, eyes wide with panic when he saw her pinned in the wreckage, bloodied and barely conscious.

“Mihitha!” he called out, his voice breaking.

He reached for her, but his body protested with sharp pain shooting through his side. Gritting his teeth, he ignored it, crawling over the shattered glass to get to her. His hands trembled as he touched her face, her skin cold and clammy.

“Mihitha, stay with me,” he whispered urgently. “Don’t close your eyes. Help is coming.”

Mihitha’s eyelids fluttered, but she could barely focus on him. Her breathing was labored, each breath a struggle. The pain in her chest was unbearable, and she knew something was terribly wrong.

“Rudra... I can’t... breathe,” she gasped, her voice weak and fading.

Tears welled up in Rudransh’s eyes as he frantically looked around, trying to find a way to free her. He felt helpless, and it tore him apart. The sound of approaching sirens in the distance barely registered in his mind. All that mattered was Mihitha.

Her grip on his hand was weakening, and Rudransh’s heart shattered. “No, no, no! Stay with me, Mihitha!” he pleaded, his voice breaking with desperation. He wiped the blood from her face with shaking hands, willing her to hold on.

Mihitha’s vision was fading, her body going limp. The pain in her chest was excruciating, and she could feel herself slipping away, but she fought with everything she had left. She didn’t want to leave him not like this.

The paramedics arrived, rushing to the scene. They pulled Rudransh back, forcing him to let go of Mihitha as they worked to free her from the wreckage. He resisted at first, shouting at them to be careful, but his own injuries made it impossible to fight them off. He collapsed onto the pavement, clutching his side, his gaze never leaving Mihitha as they worked to save her.

“Please...” Rudransh whispered, tears streaming down his face as he watched them pull her from the wreckage.

Her body was limp, her breathing shallow. The paramedics moved quickly, placing her on a stretcher, their faces grim. They exchanged hurried words, none of which Rudransh could hear over the pounding in his ears.

As they loaded her into the ambulance, Rudransh was left kneeling on the ground, his heart in pieces. He had never felt so powerless, so utterly broken. The woman he loved more than anything in the world was slipping away from him, and there was nothing he could do to stop it.

He tried to stand, but his legs gave way beneath him. One of the paramedics rushed over, helping him into the second ambulance. His injuries were minor compared to hers, but his pain was no less excruciating.

As the ambulance doors closed behind him, Rudransh’s gaze remained fixed on Mihitha. Her face was pale, her chest barely rising and falling. The fear of losing her gripped him with a force stronger than anything he had ever known.

“Please,” he whispered again, his voice breaking. “Please don’t take her from me.
