Later that night, the six of them—Aria, Draco, Enzo, Mattheo, Pansy, and Blaise—were making their way to the Great Hall for dinner.
Aria walked beside Draco, her arms crossed, clearly trying to ignore him, while Draco strolled along like nothing was out of the ordinary.
They looked like two ordinary students, not a "couple" in any sense of the word.
Pansy, walking a few paces ahead, glanced back at them with a frustrated huff.
"You two look like you're about to go to a funeral, not dinner," she snapped.
"Hold hands or something! You need to act like you're in love, for Merlin's sake."
Aria sighed loudly, rolling her eyes. "This is ridiculous," she muttered, but nonetheless, she obeyed.
Hesitantly, she slipped her hand into Draco’s, their fingers intertwining.
She couldn’t help but feel a little self-conscious, but she masked it with a glare.
"There," she grumbled. "Happy?"
Pansy smirked. "Ecstatic."
Draco, ever the opportunist, chuckled softly as he tightened his grip on Aria's hand.
"You know, Sinclair, you don't have to look so miserable," he teased, glancing down at her with a playful smirk. "I'm not that bad."
Aria shot him a look. "Shut up, Malfoy."
As they approached the entrance to the Great Hall, Draco’s eyes immediately found Clarissa Rosewood seated at the Ravenclaw table, her expression darkening the moment she spotted them.
Her eyes flared with anger, though she tried to mask it with a neutral face. Draco smirked internally. This was working out better than he’d planned.
Without warning, Draco leaned down and pressed a quick kiss to Aria's cheek.
Aria froze, her eyes widening in shock, and her face turned a deep shade of red. "What the hell are you doing?!" she snapped, jerking her head toward him.
Draco simply smirked, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "What?" he asked, feigning innocence. "Did you forget we're supposed to be a couple now?"
Aria groaned in frustration, her cheeks still flushed from embarrassment.
She could feel the heat rising up her neck, and to make matters worse, Enzo, Mattheo, Pansy, and Blaise had all started giggling at her expense.
"Shut up!" Aria barked at them, shooting them a lethal glare. Instantly, the laughter stopped, but the amused grins on their faces remained.
They entered the Great Hall, the eyes of half the students turning towards them.
Whispers quickly spread throughout the hall as students began murmuring about Aria and Draco's newly-formed "relationship."
