A beautiful young girl extends her hand to me
Opens her arms and welcomes me
But the broken boy pulls away
Dares not approach other peopleRaised in the forest's domain
Seldom seen anything but stone
The boy's heart was frail
To the love of new peopleHe wanted to feel love
Heard and seen of this thing
The girl smiled at him
Said there was no dangerThe boy hesitated and admired
A kind of omen in the revelation
The girl resembled an angel in his blue eyes
And was the most beautiful he had seenIn another world, in another time
Perhaps the boy would have dared
But without a push in the right direction
He would soon make the mistake of his lifeWhen emotions surged and fear prevailed
He chose to back away
Slowly crawling home and glancing back
At the adorable girl in the gladeShe stood there still and watched me leave wistfully
A tear could be seen in her sapphire eyes
Not today, not now
The boy soon realized his mistakeBut alas, it was too late
The girl was gone and never seen again
And with a lump in his stomach
The sad boy continued to live his life
