In a disturbing pace, I run ahead
Jumping over stones and logs
Feeling branches scrape my skin, and wounds form
Red streaks run down, touching meHunted by the power of time in a fairy-tale grandeur
My pulse beats to the heart's frantic rhythm
I pant and gasp with all my might
But it's hard to run in heelsNever looking back, afraid to see the fear
Focusing on survival, but it's hard to plead
I stumble almost on a crooked stone
Losing my balance and fumbling onwardCatch me if I fall
But no one is there to see or hear
I am alone and hunted, born to misery
Yet I did not fall this timeI run faster, my strides increase
Thinking my heart will burst in torment
There is no finish line, just running in panic
Just running and running in my despair aheadI scream for help relentlessly
Thinking aid will be close at hand
But I realize there is no help to find
Oh, how my feet ache as I run forth
