I moved closer to Andromeda once again this time with Lily in tow, we sat down next to her and we started bonding over their love for Hello Rabbit, a plushie that was taking over the world.
"I can't believe you both like Hello Rabbit! Whenever I talk about her Alastair just rolls his eyes and tunes me out even our manager is not a fun and called me childish for still liking her." Andromeda gushed as I pointed at the character on her socks
"Too old! Don't let anyone fool you young lady! I am 56 and I still love Hello Rabbit" Lily says as she took her scrunchie from her hair and proudly showed it to Andromeda and I.
"I don't know who that is but you are not too old to like something. I still watch cartoons, Thomas and Jerry is my favorite, it has no drama and all the fun and less complicated as well." I add having no clue what and who Hello Rabbit was, the original Dahlia was not into that. Out of the corner of my eye I spot Kai teaching Alastair and Adrian how to tie a square knot, boys ugh.
Yu Lin's eyes gleamed as she looked at us. "Alright, folks, you're doing great! But we've still got more questions from the viewers, so buckle up. Here's a fresh batch!"
"First question," Yu Lin began, "If you could only use one tool to survive in the wild, what would it be?"
Lily tapped her chin thoughtfully. "I think I'd go with a Swiss Army knife. It's got so many functions in one!"
I nodded. "Definitely a sturdy machete. You can cut, build, protect yourself—covers all bases."
Alastair glanced around before adding, "A fire starter. If I have fire, I can keep warm and signal for help."
Andromeda smiled slightly. "I'd choose a good-quality water filter. Staying hydrated is priority number one."
Kai gave a small shrug. "I'd probably go for a multipurpose tool. Versatility is key out here."
Adrian, always the joker, chimed in, "A solar-powered phone charger! I need my tunes and a way to call for help!"
"You're so doomed" I say causing everyone to giggle.
Yu Lin grinned at Adrian's answer. "Alright, next question: What's your favorite outdoor activity?"
Lily lit up immediately. "Hiking, for sure. There's nothing like reaching the top of a trail and seeing that view."
"I'm all about fishing," I added. "There's something meditative about it, and hey, you get food out of it too."
Alastair chuckled softly. "I actually enjoy stargazing. It's calming, and the night sky looks so different when you're away from the city."
Andromeda's face softened. "I love birdwatching. There's something really peaceful about it, and you learn to notice the small details of nature."
Kai raised an eyebrow. "Does photography count? Capturing the beauty of nature is one of my favorite things to do."
Adrian smiled wide. "Camping games! A little competition in the wilderness never hurts!"
Yu Lin looked excited for the next question. "Here's one for the viewers to get to know you better: What's your guilty pleasure when it comes to snacks?"
Lily laughed. "Oh, easy! Chocolate-covered pretzels. The sweet and salty combo is unbeatable."
"Jerky," I said, not even hesitating. "It's a camping classic, and I can never get enough of it."
Alastair smirked. "I have a thing for sour gummies. They're addictive."
Andromeda's eyes twinkled as she admitted, "I really love trail mix. The more chocolate chips, the better."
