My heart is literally jumping inside my ribs. But I couldn't look away nor step back. I was just staring at his beautiful brown eyes.
Suddenly, a cough broke our staring competition. I could feel heat spreading through my cheeks. I quickly looked away.
"Well, that was... good, right, Kookie?" Rose smiled and then looked at Jungkook, who was staring at me and Taehyung with a blank expression.
He just nodded and looked away from us, swirling his tongue inside his cheeks. I wondered what was wrong with him.
There was an awkward silence in the room.
After a few moments, we all got out of the karaoke room. Taehyung and that girl, Rose or whatever, she was walking beside him, holding his hand and glued to his side like a magnet.
I rolled my eyes and folded my arms across my chest as Jungkook and I continued to walk behind them like we were their bodyguards.
I huffed out for nth time today and looked at Jungkook, who looked deep in thought. "You good?" I asked him, making him look down at me.
He sighed and nodded his head. "Yeah, I'm good," he said as he continued to look forward. I could hear that girl and Taehyung's laughter from afar.
"Who is she?" I couldn't help but ask. Jungkook gave a confused look.
I gestured him forward with my chin. "I mean Rose," I said, receiving a nod from Jungkook.
"Uh, she's Rose, the daughter of Mr. Lim, our boss. She was in the Netherlands for a long time," he explained as I nodded my head understandingly.
"You don't like her, do you?" Jungkook asked me, making me look up at him.
"Yes, I don't like her that much, like a lot." I whisper to myself.
"How do you know?" I rolled my eyes as I saw Jungkook trying to hold back his laugh.
What's funny about it?
"Well, if looks could kill, she would have been dead by now because of your death glares from earlier," he smirked as he put his arm around my shoulder. I didn't mind because I knew it was a friendly gesture.
I looked forward to see that girl still holding Taehyung's arm and pulling him down to her height, whispering something that made both of them burst into laughter.
"Yeah, you're right. I don't like her. She's so noisy and annoying," I said, glaring at their backs. Jungkook chuckled a little.
"Only that?" he asked. I looked up at him, and he was looking straight our way.
"Yeah?" I frowned a bit. "What else could it be?" I looked straight again. Jungkook shrugged. "Who knows?"
He's acting so weird after we got out of that karaoke room. What's wrong with him?
"I don't know what you are trying to say, but that's it. How do that girl and you both look so close?" I asked. I know it's not my business, but I couldn't contain my curiosity.
I want to know what that girl means to Taehyung.
"Well, we know her because of Mr. Lim. She came to the hotel, and then Mr. Lim introduced her to us. She was so friendly and sweet that she clicked instantly with both of us," he paused and looked at me.
"Especially with Taehyung; they are so close."
I don't know what to say. I just looked away because I don't want him to see how miserable I'm feeling right now. I feel like crying, but I cannot do that. It would be embarrassing.
