"You what?" He whispered, totally stunned.

"Hyung, please! I'm really serious about Jennie. Just pick her up!" Jungkook was practically begging.

"She'll think you texted her. If she wants to hang out with you, just say yes! You'll introduce me to her, and then I can win her over!"

Taehyung bit his inner cheek to keep from losing it, staring at him in disbelief.

"Oh my gosh, Jungkook, what have you done? I'd do anything for you, but this... it's just so weird! Do you even get what you're asking me to do?"

"Hyung, please! Just this once, help me out! I'll do anything you want in return, I swear. Just do it for our friendship!"

Jungkook's urgency was palpable as he stood up and knelt in front of Taehyung, grabbing his hand and squeezing it, his eyes pleading.

"I'm begging you, hyung! Please!"

He knew Taehyung would give in; he always did whatever it took for his him, no matter how crazy it was.

After a long silence, Taehyung finally sighed, giving in.

"Oh God, fine. I'll pick her up, but that's it! Don't ask for anything else, okay?"

Jungkook's face exploded into a huge smile, genuine relief shining through.

"Thank you, hyung! You're the best!" He practically bounced back onto the couch.

"Let's watch something," he suggested, his excitement palpable as he reached for the TV remote.

But Taehyung was still lost in his thoughts, and Jungkook gently shook his shoulder, worry creeping in.

"Hyung?" he called softly.

Taehyung snapped back to reality, looking at Jungkook with a hard-to-read expression.

"Yeah?" he replied, his voice a bit quieter.

"Are you okay?" Jungkook asked, concern evident in his tone.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Taehyung lied, though the slight smile didn't quite reach his eyes.
Jungkook turned on the TV, and they both settled back down, scrolling through Netflix, even though the vibe was a bit off after their earlier chat.

A week later

They had been hanging out at the airport for nearly an hour, but still no sign of her.

"You sure she's flying in or riding a horse?" Taehyung joked.

He and Jungkook were lounging against Taehyung's sleek black car, stealing glances at the busy airport, searching for a familiar face.

"Chill out, Hyung! She's gotta be on her way!" Jungkook shot back, trying to defend her, staring at the revolving doors.

The excitement in the air was thick, and for a second, it felt like time had frozen.

Taehyung turned to look at Jungkook, who looked like he was in a daze.

"Hey, you good?" he asked, worry creeping onto his face as he watched his best friend standing there like a statue, looking like he'd seen a ghost.
