Isabella's POV:

"Of course, it's not safe," Her smirk widened. "At least, not for you."

I gulped, trying to piece together her words. "Ari, what does that mean?" My voice cracked with a hint of fear.

Ari rolled her eyes and the warmth in her gaze evaporated in an instant. Her attitude had done a complete 180, shifting from friendly just minutes ago to something colder, almost sinister. Why was she acting like this all of a sudden?

"Turn around." she commanded with a sharp edge in her voice.

Before I could process what was happening, someone grabbed my wrist, yanking it roughly behind my back. A strong grip held both my hands firmly in place and I twisted my head over my shoulder, desperate to see who was holding me.

A girl with striking pink and purple hair stood behind me, smirking as she twisted my arms further, ensuring I couldn't break free. She was definitely strong because no matter how hard I struggled, I couldn't get loose. Her strength was overwhelming and panic surged through me as I realized how powerless I was.

"Is this the one, Ari?" the girl asked with a grin, her voice dripping with amusement as if this were some kind of baby game to her.

Ari stepped forward, her giggle sending shivers down my spine. "Umm... sweetheart, these are my friends," she said, her tone mockingly sweet. "Well, you can't see all of them properly since they're behind you and you're... well, you're not exactly in the right position for a formal greeting, are you?" She giggled again, her eyes glinting with malice.

Fear gripped me, cold and unrelenting. Was I about to get beaten up like one of those helpless victims in a cliché K-drama school bullying scene? This wasn't even a school, for God's sake! I felt my stomach twist violently in anxiety. My body was trembling uncontrollably, my mind racing for a way out.

"A-Ari..." I managed to stammer, my voice was weak and shaky. It was barely a whisper and it did nothing to mask the betrayal I felt.

I trusted her. I thought I found a friend here. This... this hurt.

Ari let out a low hiss, clearly displeased with my pitiful display. She took a step closer, her face now just inches from mine. Her eyes flickered with something dark and she reached out, grabbing a loose strand of my hair and twirling it around her fingers.

"So weak," she sneered, her voice dripping with disdain. "I honestly don't know how could someone like you even be a bother to my brother?"

Her words stung. I flinched as she yanked on the strand of hair, her grip tightening just enough to make her point. My breath caught in my throat and a lump formed in my chest, suffocating me from the inside.

"But then again," Ari mused with a smile that chilled me to the bone, "I think that's Jungkook's problem to figure out. Lucky for me." She dropped my hair.
