The next day, I sat at my dinner table around noon doing homework.

Why, you may ask? Why was I at home instead of school?

Probably because I'M HOMESCHOOLED.

I know! Everyone goes ON and ON about homeschoolers being weirdos.

But I promise that's not true! Just a silly rumor!! :)

So as I sat writing answers, my mom hollered from the hallway as she got the car keys.

"Love you, Evelyn!! God bless you!!"

"Love you mom !! God bless you!!" I shouted back.

Once I heard the door shut, I was almost done.

Eventually I began writing stuff, and just as I was about to sigh in boredom, the telephone on our desk rang, causing me to shoot up from the couch and answer it.

"Helloo?" I muttered, accepting the call.

A voice I didn't recognize answered, the voice of a older lady around 60 answered seriously.

"Hello, Evelyn. It's so nice to meet you! I'm your grandma. I'm Lola Russell."

WHAT ?? NO SORRY YOU GOT THE WRONG NUMBER

"Oh hi, I'm sorry. I think you've got the wrong number. Bye!!" I stammered, hanging up.

LISTEN BEFORE YOU TELL MY MOM I HUNG UP WITH THE LAST WORD..

I DID THIS SIMPLY FOR STRANGER DANGER PURPOSES!!

Anyway.. it gave me a idea! :)

Everything between me and Alex was foggy and weird, right??

Well, why don't I just call him and get his opinion on us ??

And my mom wouldn't be home for another.. like.. 3 hours!

Perfect, huh?

I dug into my pocket for a note of his number, and eventually got it!!

(320) 925-5472

Holding it tightly, I ran to my room, hopped to my bed, and dialed it on my telephone resting on my nightstand.

It took about 12 seconds for it to finally pick up.

"Hii Alex!! I wanted to call to ask how you're feeling." I smiled warmly.

"Hey, Evelyn. I'm doing fine. How are you?"

"I'm really excited! Because I'm supposed to be doing my homework, but I got an idea. This random lady called me saying she was my grandma, and so I got the idea to call you!! Cool, huh??" I giggled.

"..yeah.." He was astonished. :O

And we just talked about everything for a while! It was awesome..

I talked about EVERYTHING. My mom, bedroom, food, literally everything.
