“That’s enough. We have to get ready for the party.” Liz laughed brushing the powder off her face and dress.
They got up, cleaned the mess they made, and ate breakfast. Liz cleaned the dishes.

She took one plate showed it to Myles and said “See how very neat the plate is. I’m just that gifted you know.” She said with boldness and confidence.
“Yeah right. Says the dishwasher and not you. Hurry and get ready.” He voiced out patting her head like a child.
They both got ready within a few minutes and met at the garage.
“We have to get the gift and the cake for Zoey. I have already ordered it. We just have to pick it up before we head to the orphanage.” Liz said tying up her messy blonde hair with a band.

Exactly when she was about to enter the car, Nurse Kaylee called.
“Hello Aunty, how are you doing?” Liz asked happily.
“I’m great as always cry baby.”
“Hey! You know I don’t like that name”
“Haha. I know you secretly love that name as much as you love me.” She uttered teasingly.
“By the way, are you guys on your way? We’ve set everything up and Zoey is still asleep.” Nurse Kaylee said.
“Perfecto! We will be there soon. Got to go. Bye!” Liz said ending the call.
“Sure bye.”
Nurse Kaylee was the one who took care of Liz when she got into an accident. After the accident, Liz had lost hope knowing the negative side effects that came about. Nurse Kaylee gave her hope and revealed to her the brighter side of life. Nurse Kaylee told her to enjoy life till the very end. Kaylee exposed to her how to live a free outgoing life and help those in need. Liz was told that the greatest joy in life is to put a smile on someone’s face.

Liz’s life was changed for the better. Ever since then, a new Liz was reborn. A free-living, outgoing, cheerful, and carefree Liz came into this world.
Kaylee showed Liz the orphanage where she worked during her free time. After Liz spent some weeks there, she got very fond of the children and loved them a lot. Liz realized she was not alone in this. Others had their hurdles and challenges to overcome. Even innocent children lived a carefree life in a crooked and cruel world. She became close friends with every child at the orphanage. They loved her a lot. No one knew of the contributions she made towards the orphanage to help them except Myles. They all assumed she was a bad girl, but underneath, Liz knew herself well.
She didn’t care what others thought of her.

Myles and Liz drove off to the bakery shop to pick up the gifts. Myles had to help Liz carry the three-tier vanilla, strawberry, and blueberry cake.
Their next stop was the mall. They bought as many presents as they could for Zoey and the other children. The gifts were wrapped nicely. After the ups and downs of the gifts, they drove off to the orphanage.
“I’m so excited. I can’t wait to see her reaction.” Liz said happily.
“Same here. I missed her so much especially when I travelled”
“Of course, you did. She is practically like your sister.”
Myles was the closest to Zoey. Myles is a cancer survivor and Zoey is undergoing treatment against cancer. Myles understood Zoey very well. Myles knew very well what Zoey was going through, so he was always there for her.

When Myles and Liz found out about her condition, they took it upon themselves to make sure she got the best treatment. After a long drive, they arrived at the orphanage.
LOVE WITHIN ORPAHANGE
When they walked in, they marveled at the change in the orphanage. It felt like a completely different makeover. It didn’t feel like an orphanage anymore. It was their little paradise.
“Wow!” Myles commented.
“Perfect.” She said as she clapped in amazement.
The place was beautifully decorated with colorful balloons of different sizes and shapes. Zoey liked the outside world, SPACE very much so it was themed as such. Stars orbiting around a giant half-shaped moon, a milky fountain dripping elegantly and smoothly down the stars floating on top. The chairs and tables were a speck on their own.

They were a new set of furniture called BABEZ. They were designed specially for this occasion. They placed the cake on a table high enough for everyone to catch a glimpse. Bouncy castles, a swimming pool, a mini basketball court, water guns, kites, freeze bees, and all the amazing and fun stuff you could imagine were present.
“Zoey’s gonna love this.” A voice blurted out. Liz and Myles turned around only to see Kaylee, the workers, and the children walking up to them.
“Kaylee!” Liz shouted as she ran to hug her.
“Cry baby!” Kaylee said teasingly hugging her back.
“Miss G! We missed you so much,” Owen said as he hugged her tightly.

“Do you still remember our first encounter?” Liz asked as she carried Owen.
“I would never forget that say. It was the best day ever.” Owen said giggling as she punched Liz’s cheeks.
Owen was 10 years old and was one of the naughtiest boys in the orphanage. When Liz first came, she hated the kids and didn’t treat them well. The children referred to her as a grumpy old witch. Owen was the king of pranks and always pulled a prank on Liz with the help of the others. And with luck, Liz always fell for his traps. Liz got frustrated and annoyed and played the same games with him. Liz was gifted when it came to pranking people. Owen and the children enjoyed her pranks as time went by. Gradually, they all became good friends.
“Have you been a good boy? I mean the opposite.” Liz asked knowing very well what Owen had been up to.
“Of course, baby! I’ve been on my best behavior. I mean the opposite.” Owen said and they both laughed.
Liz put Owen down and went to talk to the other children. It was pure happiness.

Kaylee told Liz that Zoey was asleep due to her afternoon medication but would be waking up very soon.
“Okay, guys! Let’s get ready.” Liz cheered on with a swinging fist.
“Yeah!” they all shouted.
“Shh…” Liz said undertone.
“Myles!”
“Yes Liz”
“Go get Zoey.”
“Sure”
Myles went to the girl’s dorm to fetch the birthday girl. When he reached, he went straight to Zoey’s bed. She was fast asleep like an angel.
“Baby girl…my birthday queen.” He said whispering into her ears.
“Mmm…mmmm…mm,” Zoey moaned as she tiredly stretched herself in bed. She opened her eyes only to see her favorite person.
“Myles!” she screamed as she hugged him tightly.
“My baby girl!” he exclaimed, carrying her into the sky and twirling her around.
“Weeeeee!” Zoey screamed in excitement.
“Myles” she called out with her angelic voice.
“Mmhmm.”
“Do you know what day it is?” she asked with her cute voice.
“No, I don’t. What makes this day so special?” he snorted at her reaction.
“You don’t? Don’t you know what day it is?” she asked in a sad tone.
Myles put her down and said, “Let’s go play outside.”
“Okay!” she responded disappointed.
They walked through the hallways and the corridors only for Zoey to be surprised by what awaited her.
“SURPRISE!” they all shouted.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZOEY!” they all shouted happily.
Zoey was speechless indeed that tears began to roll down her face.
“Aww baby don’t cry,” Myles said going down on his knee to wipe her tears.
“I’m just…I’m just speechless. I’ve never experienced something like this before.” Zoey said between her sobs.
“Hey...you know I hate it when you cry. It’s your day. You deserve all this and more. So please smile for me okay.” Liz said as she walked towards Zoey and gave her a warm hug.
“Miss G, I missed you a lot,” Zoey said turning her tears into cheerful smiles.
“Aww…I missed you more.”
“More than me?” Myles asked jealous of Liz.
“Of course not. I love you the most silly.” Zoey said with her contagious giggles.
“Give me a high five,” Myles said as he high-fived Zoey.
“Enough…enough. I’m jealous already.  Let’s get this party started. Whoo-hoo!” Liz yelled with excitement. The DJ exploded the place with all sorts of amazing songs.

“Yah!” Zoey shouted as she took Myles’s hands to dance with her. Owen went over to Kaylee and Liz and asked like a gentleman, “May I have this ZEDLOVE dance with you beautiful ladies?”
Kaylee and Liz played along and said, “Oh my! Why not!” They took his stretched hands and danced to their heart's content. Liz was a terrible dancer and Myles always teased her about it. Liz was dancing as though her back was filled with iced cubes.

“Is that a peacock dancing or a human being?” Myles asked laughing at Liz.
Liz rolled her eyes at him and said, “Whatever.”
They all danced till they were out of breath. After sometime, they left the dance floor and went to the refreshment section.

The fresh scent of the deliciously prepared dishes was swooning around the entire place.
“Mmm…yummy!” Zoey said as she served herself the dish of her choice. Zoey took her favorite macaroni and cheese with mashed potatoes smeared in mayonnaise and butter. Everyone was seated with the dish of their choice. Just the look on their faces said it all. They loved what they were eating. Liz was eating when she was distracted by a phone call.
The name that appeared was “Forget me soon dear mother.”

Liz ignored the call.
Myles nudged her and muttered, “Pick the call.”
Liz shook her head.
Kaylee noticed what was going on and signaled Liz to follow her.
KITCHEN
When Kaylee entered, a few minutes later, Liz joined her.
“What’s going on? How many times have I talked to you about your parents? You’ve got to tell them about your condition sooner or later. Plus, I warned you about the way you save their names on your phone. Argh!... come on. Stop being stubborn. Please…” Kaylee said exactly as Liz thought she would.
“Hey…relax…I’ve got everything under control. I know what I’m doing. And since when did you become all this serious? You told me life is all about having fun and you were right all along. Relax okay. Let’s go and enjoy the party .” Liz explained as she tried to drag Kaylee out of the kitchen.
“Am I alive or what? Since when have you ever admitted that I’m correct? Wow…just wow. No wonder it look cloudy today. Fine, let’s go.” Kaylee said smiling as she held hands with Liz and went to join them at the party.
