Chapter 10

“Naa… no need…Myles got everything under control.” Liz said smiling.
Liz began walking around the place giving out something to the other customers.
“What is Liz doing?” Zenday asked.
“Just wait and watch.” Jodie said lending out something to Zenday. When Zenday noticed what was in her hands, she understood everything.
“Now I get what’s going on.” Zenday said with a smile.
“Apologize now. By the time I count to three and you don’t apologize, you will regret it.” Myles said.
“Threaten me all you want. I won’t do anything. You are disrespecting. Now, get out.” The manager shouted.
“One!”
“Two”
“You are going to regret this.” The manager said even more pissed.
“Three.” Myles ended the countdown.
“NOW!” Liz shouted.
Everyone threw their knack out at the manager’s feet.
“Ahh! Stop! Stop! ... What are you guys thinking?” Stop!” the manager said screaming and shouting and jumping about avoiding them.

“Fine…I will apologize.” The manager said going on her knees.
“I’m sorry Sakera. I should not have shouted at you. Sorry. Please forgive me.” The manager pleaded restlessly.
“Don’t worry Mrs. Wotsy. You’ve done nothing wrong. Get up.” Sakera said helping Mrs. Wotsy get up. 
“You were just doing what you thought as right. I have no grudge against you.” Sakera said calmly.
“Thanks dear.” Mrs. Wotsy said hugging her.
Sakera walked over to Myles and said, “Thank you so much.”
“Don’t worry dear. Just doing what I know is right.”
“Since everything is resolved now, everyone should order what they want. All bills on me.” Myles said with a cheer.
“Wooo!” they all shouted.
The other waitress cleared up the mess and they all enjoyed themselves.
The manager apologized to Myles and served him and the girls a special dish. Liz and the girls invited Sakera to eat with them. Zenday was amazed and walked over to Myles.
“Hey Myles. Thanks for what you did for Sakera.” She said slightly embarrassed.
“No need. I knew that that was the right thing to do.” Myles said smiling at Zenday.
“I wanted to…” Zenday was interrupted by Sakera when she walked over and wrapped her hand around Myles’s arm.
“Hey there! Any problem?” Myles asked looking at Sakera.
“C’mon I want you to try this dessert. It’s amazing.” Sakera said tightening her grip.
“But I’m already…” Myles was interrupted by Sakera who replied, “No ifs or buts” and scooped a spoonful and placed it in his mouth. Zenday rolled her eyes.
“I’m gonna join Liz and the girls.” Zenday said walking away upset.
“Sakera please excuse me.” Myles said removing her hand and jogging to Zenday.
“Hey! Zenday! What’s up with you. We were not done talking.”
“It seemed to me that we were done.” Zenday said walking away.
Zenday lost her balance after her first two steps. Almost falling, Myles held her wrist, pulled her backwards, wrapped her hand around her waist and whispered into her ears, “It seems to me that you enjoy watching me catch you all the time. Falling into your arms, staring into your eyes, it just melts you down right. Well, I will always be there to catch you but don’t fall for me” he ended.
He helped her stand straight and left.
“What just happened?” Zenday asked herself as she placed her hands on her cheeks.
They ended their night off by saying goodbye to Sakera and Mrs. Wotsy.
Myles drove them all back to campus.
Immediately they got down, Jodie asked of a goodbye hug from Myles.
“Of course, beauty queen.” Myles said with a smile. Myles hugged Jodie warmly. Next was Liz. They hugged each other like they normally do, and he kissed her forehead.
Liz and Jodie left first leaving Myles and Zenday behind.
“O- kay! Guess it a goodnight then. Take care.” Myles said taking his leave.
Myles turned away walking into the night when suddenly he heard his name.
“Myles!”
Just when he turned, he was surprised with a big warm hug from Zenday who jumped into his arms.
“What’s this for?” Myles asked hugging her back.
Zenday didn’t reply.
After a while, Zenday let go and said, “Goodnight!” and she run off.
Myles smiled and walked back to his room.

Meanwhile, Liz and Jodie had reached their room already. Liz entered first.
#A surprise awaits her
A bucket of toy-moving cockroaches poured on Liz’s head.
“Ahhhhhhhhh!” Liz shouted terrified.
With her eyes closed, she was twisting and turning and running about like she had gotten 100 injections on her face. She was completely lost.
“Liz, relax I’m going to get help.” Jodie said panicking as she took off to get help.
“Get it off! Get it off! Get it off!” Liz said yelling as she removed her top showcasing her bra.
Whiles running about the room, she flipped over the bed and fell in a pool of eggs mixed with expired milk.
“Oh no. Where did this come from?” Liz shouted as loud as her lungs could call out. Everyone rushed out of their rooms to Liz’s room only to see the mess she had made.
Lester got there early. Laughing within, he pretentiously asked what was going on and went inside to help Liz.
“Liz! Are you okay?” he said looking at the mess she had made.
Slowly opening her eyes, she replied, “Go away!”
“Hey! Relax…C’mon…get up.” He said trying to help her out.
“Please leave me alone.” Liz said tearing up.
Myles came next. Seeing her in that state got him fuming. 
“What the? …Who the hell did this to Liz?” Myles asked angrily.
“Myles! Please help me out.” Liz asked sadly.
“Everyone leave. Now!” Myles shouted.
Slowly yet surely, they all left including Lester who felt guilty for what he did.
“What have I done now. Did I go too far with all this?” Lester asked himself as he left Liz’s room.
Myles closed the door and helped Liz out.
Once she got up, they both burst into laughter.
“Did you see his face? He fell right for my act.” Liz said laughing.

“It was really hilarious.” Myles said laughing too.
“He is definitely going to feel guilty after everything.” Liz said.
“Definitely.” Myles added.
“Okay Myles. Thanks for everything. I’ve got to shower.” Liz said.
“You need a very very long shower.” Myles said teasing her.
“Unless you want a hug.” Liz said moving closer to Myles with her arms wide open.
“No thanks…bye!” Myles said as he immediately left her room.
“Today was spectacular.” Liz said smiling.
“But quite messy. I’ve got to clean up.” Liz concluded. Liz took a warm shower afterwards.
Jodie heard what happened afterwards and returned to Liz. Seeing how messy the place was, she called out to Zenday to help them clean up.
After a while…
“Thank you so much guys.” Liz said hugging them both.
“No problem. I am just glad that I could help you guys out.” Zenday said.
“Guess we all need a goodnight sleep.” Liz commented.
“Yes. Goodnight guys..” Zenday said.
“Goodnight.” Jodie replied.
Zenday left.
“Whew!!! Today was quite an adventurous one.” Liz said hopping onto the bed.
“I’m literally very tired. I’ve got to sleep now.” Jodie said snapping her fingers.
After a little while, Liz slept.
Jodie received a call
“Hey babe.” The unknown voice said.
“Baby…I’ve missed you.”
“Missed you more.”
“How are you coping?”
“Great. But I miss your sweet lips.”
“Aww! And here I am yearning to be in your arms.” Jodie said blushing.
“Thanks for the gift you sent. I loved it.” Jodie said hugging the teddy bear on her bed.
“Babe?”
“Yes!” Jodie replied.
“When will I get to tell everyone about us?”
“I don’t know. But I wanna introduce you to my roommate Liz…which you already know her.”
“Don’t worry. Whenever you are ready, I will be waiting.”
“Okay. I’ve got to go. I don’t want Liz to wake up.”
“Sure dear. Goodnight. Love you.”
“Love you more. Bye.” Jodie said and ended the call.
“That was a close one. Hope Liz is still asleep. Ah well…of to bed.” Jodie said getting ready to sleep.
“Who was Jodie talking to? So she was really serious about the whole boyfriend thing. Aww…I’m so happy for her. But I’ve got to find out who” Liz said covering herself well to sleep.
