Yggdrasil. Rebirth (Volume 1) The Beginning

Hotham

They would make it to the outskirts of the village of Hotham. They would make it to a place where Ramza's Squad made a base camp. They walk up to the main tent where Ramza is supposed to be waiting for them. They enter a big tent where they see a young man waiting for them. He was an average size man. He had light-colored skin with a black eyes and Black spiky hair. He wore a black eye patch over his left eye. He wore a DHO skin suit with a captain armband on his left arm.

 "Captain Ramza, we are here to help out," said John.

 "Sorry last I check, I did not ask for help and I rather have someone else then some silver spoon brat," said Ramza.

 "Sorry but the higher ups have sent us here," said John.

 "And? I have this under control. If you want to help then get back to the city and get lost," said Ramza.

 "Sorry but we are not leaving until the mission is complete," said John.

 "Fine, do whatever, just stay out of my way," said Ramza.

 They leave the tent and head over to the bus.

 "Man, that guy is a real piece of work," said Rize.

 "Yeah, that is Ramza. He some prick," said Cyrus.

 "Well, it time we get started," said John. "Rize, take some of our men and patrol the forest for these demons."

 "Yes, Sir," said Rize.

 "Cyrus, we will go investigate in the village," said John.

 They would split up and head out to their destinations.

 Cyrus and Cyrus enter town of Hotham where they were walking to the factory building their. They also notice when they were walking they barely notice anybody in town like it was a ghost town.

 "Man, where is everyone?" asked Cyrus.

 "I wonder as well. This is probably why the DHO has sent us to find out what is going on here," said John. "They said that Ramza has allows have protect this area, but with sight of these strange demons."

 "I have a bad feeling about this," said Cyrus.

 "I as well. First we should gather info on what this factory is really creating," said John.

 Rize was walking through the forest as the mist comes down. He notice the men he was with has disappeared. He had Excalibur at the ready in his right hand.

 "Where they go?" questioned Rize. "Well at least I got you Anna."

 Rize hears a noise and gets his sword ready to see what come at him. He waits to hear what happens next when all of a sudden he was attacked by strange blob creatures in a brown color. Rize jumps back and slashes at them to counter attack. Rize gets ready to attack when he noticed they had corpse inside them with DHO clothing.

 "Damn it, I was careless to save them," said Rize.

 He then see in the blob that they had different numbers which are from Ramza's Squad.

 "What?" questioned Rize. But he gets attacked by blobs again but Rize manages to cut them down with ease. He then figured that it might be a good time to head back to Ramza's Camp.

 John and Cyrus were sneaking around the factory where they see a bunch of men in hazmat suits working around. They stood on a roof looking down behind a chimney.

 "They look busy," said Cyrus.

 "How much are they making?" asked John.

 "Looks like a ton, they must be selling a ton to low class hunters," said Cyrus.

 "We should head inside," said John.

 They see a worker nearby and Cyrus uses his shadow ability and him and John hide in his shadow as he heads back inside.

 Rize would make back to Ramza's Camp and he sees it is empty only their bus was left. He goes over and see his men where knocked out as they never left the camp.

 "Could Ramza's guys done this? Or maybe something else is happening here," said Rize.

 He hears a large footsteps. He looks and sees a huge creature. It seems the blobs have combined and changed into a blob like dragon and was oozing slime out of it body.

 "Oh, that's great," said Rize.

 It starts attacking Rize with a big bite attack and Rize attacks it with a slashes to it face. The Dragon stumbles back. Rize hold his sword up.

 "Ignite," said Rize.

 Excalibur's blade catches on fire and Rize runs up and goes for a jump attack and was able to cut it head off and watches the body catch on fire. Rize hears more footsteps coming towards him. He looks as he saw a bunch of blob dragons coming at him. 

 "Ah, great we got our work cut out for us today, Anna," said Rize.

 Meanwhile, in the factory the hazmat suit man reached a large room where a man wearing a lab coat was with Ramza.

 "It seems we are running out of test subjects," said The Lab Coat Man.

 "I found more, but it seems we have company. I feel the DHO might be getting suspicious of us," said Ramza. "They sent a noble captain here."

 "Is it John Ripply?" asked The Lab Coat Man.

 "Yes, it seems like they sent him here to help with the strange creatures. But I was not born yesterday," said Ramza.

 "Yes, Captain. We just have to move another place," said The Lab Coat Man.

 "Yes...," said Ramza.

 He then throws a knife at the Hazmat Suit Man's shadow as he felt something was wrong. John and Cyrus leave his shadow before it landed.

 "I knew I smelt rats," said Ramza.

 "Captain Ramza, you are violating your duties to the Demon Hunter Organization," said John.

 "If you have not figured it out, The DHO are only stepping stone to me," said Ramza.

 "You bastard, you only cared about making that drug," said Cyrus.

 "I have question for you rich spoiled brats. You know what it like t be poor or hungry. The DHO only want the very best of the rich, so they can benefit from the rich families," said Ramza. "But enough talk this where you're lives end."
