As Aria started reading the letter, her hands began to tremble. The deep crimson stains on the paper sent a shiver down her spine, making her breathing hard. Her heart raced as she read each word, the intensity of his words gripping her in a mix of fear and disbelief.
She closed the letter and kept it in her bag taking deep breaths to calm herself and wiping the sweat formed on her forehead. She thought of calling Shreya as she was the one who sent her all the gifts but decided to do so after they landed in Sicily.
Her hand were still shivering because of the letter. So she tried to distract herself and was searching for her phone when she saw a hand come in front of her with her phone making her look at that person only to see Massimo smiling at her but frowned seeing her tensed face and asked, "What happened? Are you okay?"
Aria shook her head smiling and saying, "I'm. Thank you."
"By the way, what were you doing?"
"Oh, nothing important. Just opening some presents given by my friends." She said smiling and picking up things while showing him some letters making him smile. After clearing some space she patted beside her, signaling him to sit beside her.
He took a seat giving her full attention to her and asked, "So?"
She asked raising her one eyebrow, "So?"
"How are you feeling?"
She shrugged saying, "Okay. I guess."
He nodded sighing as he knew she wouldn't trust him to tell about herself, at least not yet. He got up and said, "I'm in the room beside you. If you want anything, call me up or Dad, he is sitting out working, okay?" He went out when he received a positive response from her.
She sighed as soon as he went out and laid down on the bed while staring at the top and remembering, how her life took a 360oturn.
Her knowing is being adopted.
Knowing about her real father and family.
Spending her last moments.
She was leaving her childhood place just to return to her real house.
A tear slid down her eyes as she remembered, how her family, oh-sorry foster family were crying and making sure about her safety with Rossi's family. She smiled sadly remembering all the happy memories spent there and closed her eyes, reminiscing every moment and doesn't know when she fell into a deep slumber.
Aria's eyes fluttered open hearing some noise only to see her mobile ringing and her alarm which she had set before boarding to wake her up just in case she slept, and she did.
She rubbed her eyelids to clear her vision and went towards the bathroom in the room to freshen up.
After getting ready, she came out of the room only to see Leonardo talking to someone on video call making her frown. She was going back inside to give him some privacy but stopped hearing that person calling him 'Dad'
He was sitting with his back facing her making him unknown to her presence. She stood there leaning on the wall with her hands crossed to her chest while listening to their conversation which seemed to irritate Leo who was rolling his eyes continuously.
"Dad"
"What is it, Gio?"
"Please speak to Sandro once, please. Otherwise, I'm dead today for sure."
"Give your mobile to him."
Giovanni moved towards a door and knocked towards it only to hear something making him go inside and give his mobile to a person whose name seemed to be Sandro.
