Alby was stung but unconscious. How would they ever even try to survive the night? Evelyn knew one thing, they would survive the night and she would let none of them die. Not like this.

Evelyn dropped to her knees while Minho just sat down out of breath.

Thomas walked over and knelt beside Alby's body.

"What happened to him?"

"What do you think? He's stung." Evie spoke.

"What happened to his head?"

"I did what I had to do." Minho spoke.

Then they heard a Griever screech.

Evelyn has never seen one before. Was she ready? No. Did she have to do it? Yes.

The maze rumbled signally it was going to change soon.

"Uh, okay, alright, help me get him up." Thomas said.

"We gotta go. The maze is already changing."

"No. Minho, we have to hide Alby. I'm not leaving him behind." Evelyn stated.

"Fine."

They managed to get Alby tied up in some vines, pulling him up the wall.

Minho froze when he saw the figure of a griever.

"We gotta go. We gotta go."

"Just a little more then we'll tie it off." Thomas tried.

"No, no, no." Minho said with fear.

"Minho, stay. Just a little more and then we can run, okay? Please, for Alby." The girl spoke.

"I'm sorry, greenie." He pulled Evelyn with him and ran.

She tried to go back for Alby but his grip was too strong.

Another griever came around the corner.

"Shit." She spoke. That's when she noticed Minho was already running.

She went the other way to try and get Minho safe. If the griever's not after him he wouldn't get hurt.

She tripped over a rock and fell to the ground. She groaned.

There was a small cut and she was sure she couldn't run properly.

The griever came closer and closer.

She tried running but it hurt her. The Griever was faster than her in that state.

It got a hold of her leg and she fell to the ground.

She screamed in pain. She tried to maneuver her way out of its grip. But it was no use.

Suddenly she felt a stinging pain in her leg.

The Griever let go of her leg for just a second. That was her exit ticket.

She got on her feet in pain and started running as fast as she could.
