"Shigaraki's dead, so there's a silver lining," Izuku mumbled as his head hit the brick behind him with a dull thud. "Hanta's gonna be fine, and Kaminari will wake up eventually."

"What happened?" Aizawa barked again, his anger and anxiety causing his quirk to act up without him realizing it. Izuku watched his eyes flick from glowing to dull, back and forth, as the man took a deep breath.

Izuku's eyes drifted down to Hanta's face, which was already starting to regain some color. "You trusted a villain, and I... I did what I always do. I keep telling you people that you shouldn't trust me, but you all refuse to listen."

Aizawa looked from him, to Hanta, to Bakugou, before landing on Kaminari. His eyes went wide at the sight of his former student, burnt beyond recognition. "Is- is that-"

"He has Resurrection," Izuku said, following the hero's line of sight. "He'll be fine."

"What's the worst Resurrection has brought you back from?" Bakugou asked, his voice faint and almost carried away with the light breeze.

"Other than when you blew a hole through my stomach?" Izuku asked, letting his mind wander to some of his closest calls. "I got crushed under a building once. Completely paralyzed from the waist down, not much left of my bones but dust, my vital organs imploded. It brought me back good as new in a day. If there's a body, it'll bring him back."

A tense breath loosened from Bakugou's chest as he sagged back against the wall.

Aizawa cleared his throat, his head turning away from the men in front of him. "We have to move. We can't stay out here, not with them."

"We can't go to a hospital," Bakugou weakly argued, too tired to do much else. "Kaminari's dead. He doesn't have a pulse."

Izuku forced himself to his feet, Hanta still in his arms. "We can go to the apartments. It's protected from heroes and villains. We can wait for them to wake up there."

Aizawa's hands went to his scarf, pulling it up slightly to hide more of his face. He wasn't sure if he could keep his emotions in check, not right now, so hiding was the next best thing. "And if they need more medical attention than your quirks can provide?"

"Aya's there. She's a nurse with enough medical training to save my life after my father gutted me. They'll be fine," Izuku said, already walking toward his home.

As he moved further away from the scene, abandoning Shigaraki's body in the streets, he could hear Bakugou stand.

"I hate him, but his quirk is the only thing that's gonna bring him back. I'm not going to argue with him right now," he heard the blond hero grumble.

"Fine," Aizawa huffed as two sets of footsteps fell in with Izuku.

As Izuku opened his front door, he heard Toga shuffling around in the kitchen. Whenever he went out at night, she was always up when he came back. She admitted to him a while ago that she found it impossible to sleep without him in the apartment.

"Welcome back!" she called, his light footsteps racing through the hall toward the living room. "How was the first night as a- Jesus fucking Christ." Her normally wide smile dropped as soon as she saw Izuku and the heroes, two of which were still unconscious.

"One night," she snapped, already heading to the closet on the far side of the room and pulling out a black sheet. "I want one night where you come home, and I'm not traumatized." She was huffing as she spread the sheet out over the couch and motioned for Bakugou to move. "Put him here."
