Ima write two chapters today, so be ready for that! I'm excited. After I finished this one-shot idea, I have an idea for a 'one-shot challenge'.
Basically I'll make a spinner with different tropes, and then spin it at the end of each chapter, so you can tell me your ideas for the trope. If I didn't explain that well, you'll understand at the end of next chapter.
Hope you enjoy!

Sam was experiencing withdrawals.
He had started experiencing these, right after he stopped talking to Colby.
It was like he was struggling to breathe without his other half. He felt so lost without Colby. His mental health deteriorated quickly. And he soon became a pariah.
All Colby thought was that Sam was homophonic or something, and that was a particular disturbing thought. Thinking that the guy he liked, hated home, for loving another guy. He felt so lost and broken. But he left Sam alone.
No matter how much Sam wanted to, he could never bring himself to talk to Colby again. And before he knew it. School was over.
~
You'd think something would happen over summer. But no matter how many times they saw each other on the street, or the times their parents went to dinner together and dragged them along, they wouldn't talk.
So when summer ended and school started up again, Sam was determined to befriend Colby again. He couldn't bear the thought of going another day without him. He wanted to be with him, maybe... romantically.
Colby on the other hand had other plans. He made a new group of friends, ones that weren't very kind. He also decided the best thing to do, to get back at Sam, was to get with Emma. Sure he didn't like her. At all. He honestly thought she was a snob, but if it made Sam feel jealous or really invoke any emotion, he wanted to do it.
There Sam was, staring at Colby, hanging by his locker, surrounded by a bunch of no good kids, and Emma Jackson? He was already in shock, but then Emma and Colby kissed. Sam's jaw hit the floor. He could feel himself getting extremely jealous, and not because Colby stole Emma.
Emm was short girl, with curly brown hair, and golden eyes. She looked perfect. Nothing like Sam. Because he was a boy. And she was the prettiest, most perfect, girl he had ever seen. He didn't Ben notice that maybe his previous 'feelings', were envy.
But that, that wouldn't derail him from his plan. Get Colby back. So he continued to his locker, which had to be the one next to Colby.
"What do you want with Colby, bitch."
Sam looked up at the tall kid in ground of him. But he looked nothing like a kid, he was buff as hell, and had a full blown beard. Sam took a step back for the man, who was apparently named Duke.
"I- I... I just was trying to get to my locker-" Sam squeaked.
Duke looked at him like that was the worst excuse he could have given. Cracking is knuckles like he intended to fight, like it would take more than one hit to kill Sam. Before Sam knew it, two more kids blocked the way to his locker. That's when Sam just decided to dart.
"Yeh! And don't come back you lil' bitch!"
~
Months.
Sam had tried everything.
Talking to Colby in classes, because of course, they had the same schedule again. But Colby was always surrounded by his posey of upperclassmen. And they never left his side, never let Sam near him. He even tried to go to Colby's house, but he either wasn't home, didn't answer when he saw Sam, or Emma opened the door.
Not seeing his soulmate for so long made Sam break down. He would wake up, go to school, come home, go to his room, the go to sleep. He barely ate anymore. Black was the only thing in his closet, and he never showed his arms or legs anymore. He was on the edge. Just waiting to be tipped over.
That's when Colby found him.
He was in the library, skipping lunch for the third time that week, when Colby saw him. He finally realized how broken Sam looked, in his defense it's not like his 'friends' would let him see Sam anyways.
"Sam?" Colby approached tho boy, who had his head buried in his arms. Eventually the crystal blue eyes looked up at him, but they weren't like before. They had lost their light. Their shine. It took Colby a second to process all of that, before he enveloped the other in a hug.
Sam couldn't really process what was going on, but eventually he hugged back.
That hug changed everything. Sam and Colby talked, while Sam didn't admit why he stopped talking to Colby, he reassured him that it wasn't because he liked a guy.
They rekindled their dying friendship, and could finally talk again.
Sam felt like he could breathe, his light came back. He was much more happy and genuinely himself again. He felt full.
Well almost.
He felt, weird. While he didn't want to see Colby's friends anyways, he felt as though Colby was hiding him. Like he was... embarrassed by Sam. And even through Sam's pleas, Colby continued to be friends with them.
Those horrible people, that when Sam was alone, would hurt and belittle him. And it hurt. A lot.
So that's where the fight started.
~
"I JUST DON'T GET WHY YOUR FRIENDS WITH THEM!" Sam yelled.
They were in Colby's bedroom, supposedly playing video games, but Colby had gotten a message from Duke. That started an argument.
"BECAUSE THEY'RE MY FRIENDS!" Colby fought back, his eyebrows aggressively furrowed.
Sam was practically fuming, "THEN WHY DO YOU HIDE ME FROM THEM! AM I THAT UNCOOL!?" The were both standing yelling at each other.
"MAYBE YOU ARE!" Colby spat, obviously not meaning it, but it fell from his mouth anyways.
"wow." Sam laughed, "and I thought we were best friends again. Colby I will not be your charity project, to make you feel better about yourself, while your so called 'friends' beat me up in the bathrooms. While you hide me so you can be popular. You are supposed to be my best friend. We promised."
Colby just stared, he had never seen Sam shout, let alone mad in general, it was scary. But his silence had a whole new meaning to Sam. He looked at Colby bitterly, before scoffing and exiting his room. Colby couldn't process it enough to stop him.
So he just sat there, angry and without his best friend. The one he knew he should have ke-t. The one he knew he couldn't let go again.
But he just did.
