-------

Colby fucked up. It had been a week since the fight.

He just wanted Sam back.

So he dropped the friends, the ones that made him 'cool'. It didn't matter, he was nothing without Sam. So he left them, obviously not without a struggle, but it was worth it.

The constant bullying and harassment from them could be dealt with, but Sam was Colby's first priority. But Sam was ignoring Colby, any and every chance Colby got he would try to talk to him. But Sam pretended Colby wasn't there.

It took Colby three weeks before he finally cornered Sam, in the boys bathroom right after the lunch bell rang.

"Colby, what the fuck do you want?" Sam asked, rolling his eyes. "I thought I was 'uncool'."

Colby just shook his head. Reaching out to grab Sam's arms.

"No! You-" Colby could tell Sam was about to interrupt him, "just let me speak!"

"You are the best thing that has happened to me, you are my everything, and more. I dropped those idiots, I don't care if I'm popular, I don't care if I'm a social outcast, I AM NOTHING WITHOUT YOU. No popularity can change that. You are what makes me complete. Fuck them, they were assholes anyways. All I need it you! Please Sam! Be my best friend again. Be mine!"

Sam just stood there, (Sam rn 🧍‍♂️) completely at a loss for words. He thought Colby might apologize, but he didn't think that Colby would pour out all of his emotions like ever. So he just sat there for a second, before finally it was his turn to hug Colby.

"I'm sorry I ran away from you. You are also my everything, I was so lost without you."

There they were, the two boys hugging in the boy bathroom, sharing their feelings and friendship with whoever decided it would be a good idea to take shit right then.

It was October. (We fell in love in October, literally)

Sam and Colby were hanging out at his house.

Stupidly, though Colby never liked her, he never had found a way to break up with Emma. So Sam was stuck as the third wheel, surveying his crush, the fact he recently accepted, and his crush's girlfriend, all the time.

Sam could tell Colby didn't like her. He would brace himself whenever she got near him. When the touched or kissed, he was as far away as he could be while still touching her. He seemed absolutely disgusted by Emma.

I mean, he was a gay guy, in a relationship with a girl.

Sure he shouldn't have led her on, but he still couldn't tell Sam how he felt. So Emma was his distraction from that love.

So there they were at Colby's house, Emma was downstairs getting a couple snacks and waters so they could watch the movie, which Sam had picked out. 'Ghostbusters' the original, obviously.

"This is such a good one!" Colby said, putting the movie in and leaning back to stare into Sam's icy blue orbs (sam : 🔵👄🔵) smiling brightly at him.

He fell in love with him all over again whenever they had moments like this. So close, their breath nearly connecting their lips together itself. The need to touch.
