In contrast to Dev's panicking expression, Hazel showed unwavering determination. "I finally know what I truly want. I know what I truly want. So... I'll trade my life for this wish..." Hazel told him.
"Hazel! Stop!" Dev begged her. Unable to hold back, Dev cries out, tears pouring out of his eyes. "Because then, what would I have been fighting for..?"
Hazel calmly explains while Dev wails on. "But I believe it's because you've protected me for so long and placed so much hope on me that I'm the person I am now. I am really sorry. This is the answer I've found. Please believe in me. I promise that what you have done for me will not be in vain." Hazel promised. She readied herself, then walked in front of the incubator.
"Hazel, since you are the central point of karmic destiny from multiple different timelines, no matter how enormous the wish is, I will be able to grant it." Irep told her.
"Are you sure about that..?" Hazel confirmed.
"Now, Hazel Wells. What is the wish you will pay for with your soul?" Irep continued.
Hazel took a deep breath and declared what her wish would be with a booming voice. "I want to erase all witches before they are born. I will erase every single witch in the universe, past, present, and future with my own hands!" Hazel declared. Lights gather around Hazel, the radiance of a soul gem being born.
"That wish," Irep said. "If that wish were to come true, it wouldn't just be on the scale of temporal manipulation. You would be opposing karmic destiny, the very laws of casualty themselves... Hazel... are you trying to become a god?"
"I don't care what I become," Hazel says as she gently caresses the light radiating from her chest. She closes her eyes and continues to declare her wish in earnest. "All those magical warriors who held onto their hopes and fought against witches... I don't want to see them cry. I want them to stay smiling until the end. If any rule or law stands in my way, then I will destroy it. I will rewrite it! That is my prayer! That is my wish!" Hazel reopens her eyes as she roars. "Now grant it, incubator!" The light expands, engulfing everything in blinding whiteness.Hazel opens her eyes to find herself sitting on Peri's couch. Peri looks at her with a smile. "Hazel, do you truly understand how daunting that wish was?" He asked her.
"I guess so..." She told him.
"It will mean that you will be fighting a battle without pause throughout all timelines, past, present, and future, for all eternity..." Peri continued his lecture gently and calmly. "It also means you will cease to exist as an individual. Death would be a kinder fate. You will be firmly implanted in this universe as a concept - a principle that destroys witches."
"That's fine. That's what I intend to do." Hazel admitted in a calm voice. "If someone says that it is wrong to have hope, then I will tell them that they are wrong every single time. I could tell them countless times, and I wouldn't give up."
"It's fine, then, isn't it? If you think you can do it, you've just gotta do it!" Winn told her. They had spontaneously appeared next to Hazel, wolfing down an apple slice and some water. "I mean, you have found your reason to fight, haven't you? You have decided to not run away, right? All you need to do is do it now!"
"Thanks, Winn..." Hazel told them.
"I guess that means you will be needing this again. Here you go." Peri told her. He holds out a notebook, the same one where Hazel once doodled her magical girl costume ideas. Hazel takes it, slightly bashful. "You are not just making people's hopes come true, you are becoming hope itself. The hope of us all." The scene fades out as Peri says those words.Hazel shines brightly. She had transformed into her magical girl costume. Dev and Irep try to block out the blinding light.
Even Walpurgisnacht had noticed the shine behind it. It turns around and shouts a screeching battle cry. Hazel aims her bow towards the sky. With the arrow she releases a vast magical power, dividing infinitesimally, flying in the sky in all directions.A magical girl, alone and in pain, runs out of magical power. Bitter tears flow as she cups her blackened soul gem. She can only watch in despair as her soul gem turns into a grief seed, a witch about to hatch.
But Hazel's arrow flies in from the sky, enveloping the girl in light. Bathed in light, Hazel holds the girl's hand with a gentle smile. The grief seed never hatches, but instead fades away into the light. Witnessing this, the magical girl passes away with a face of relief.
As an arrow of light, Hazel flies through time and space, preventing one grief seed from hatching after another. "I won't let your prayer end in despair." Hazel promised.
The scene is projected to all soul gems throughout the universe. Magical girls, boys, and warriors from across time see and hear her call. "None of you have to hate or curse anyone anymore. I'll beat the full, dreadful weight of your karmic destinies. So please, believe in yourselves until the very end."
Hazel becomes a mass of lights, with arrows firing continuously toward the sky, multiplying infinitely towards all of space of time. She then takes aim. Walpurgisnacht roars as it rushes forth. Its giant body suddenly begins to collapse into itself, piece-by-piece, emitting dazzling light as it does.
"It's okay... it's okay now..." Hazel comforted the gigantic witch. "You don't have to hate or curse anyone anymore. I will go back, before you took that form, and shoulder that burden for you." She then reached out towards the collapsing witch. Light pours out of the giant monster, overflowing, blinding Deb's vision with light.
