Chapter 21

Claude: I believe we're all set, Jaune?

Right now, Jaune and the 3 House Leaders are in a Coffee Shop, which serves as one of the many Safehouses belonging to that of the Arcadians. There, the four of them are having a break after all the Briefings and Training Sessions they had the past couple of days.

Jaune: We are. Lisa and Elise were able to get as much Intel as they can regarding what we are up against, and it's a lot.

Dimitri: Do you think we have the means to repel them?

Jaune: We will, once we have the Meeting in the Arc Council Chambers. I believe Sitri has informed you about this?

He looks to the 3 House Leaders and they shook their head "No".

Jaune: Oh, I see...

Edelgard: What is this Meeting, Jaune? Are we going to meet with the Elder Arcs? Your Family? Have them discuss about our plans of uniting both Fódlan and Arcadia?

Jaune: You're right on that part, El. But besides you three and that of Rhea. The Elder Arcs want the Nobles of the three Kingdoms and those among the Church, to join this Meeting regarding the Plans going forward when Arcadia allies itself with Fódlan, and the Battle with the Black Arms and Thales' Group.

Edelgard: You know not many Nobles will accept this, nor those of the Church.

Jaune: I know, but if they are to stay in Arcadia, whether it be for leisure or business, they must respect the Rules or else get out, and I have Rhea dealing with the Church. I managed to convince her to change her ways.

Claude: Or the Goddess living inside the Professor and her Daughter's head.

Jaune: Her too.

He then looks over to Claude, remembering their little conversation they had a few days ago.

Jaune: Remember what I said, Claude. Once the United Arcadian Factions Contract with Fódlan and the Lands beyond it has been settled, we can ensure that peace and stability can be achieved, along with instilling Laws to prevent such injustices and racism towards one another. And one factor we can use, is this Battle, have both sides unite to fight a Common Enemy. I mean, that is you plan right, Khalid?

Both Edelgard and Dimitri know what Jaune is talking about. Claude got the chance to reveal who he is, telling them that he hails from Almyra, along with being named Khalid, the Son of the King of Almyra and Tiana, the Daughter of Duke Riegan. Claude told them that as a Child, he often found himself being discriminated due to his Fódlan Heritage and when he left Almyra, where he taken to the Leicester Alliance, he was again, discriminated, due to his Almyran Heritage. He told them it led to him developing a desire to end Fódlan's long-standing Isolationism, in an effort to bring about a new World where everyone accepts everyone. Another detail to point out, is how he hid the truth of who he is, by changing his name from Khalid to Claude; a name more fitting to Fódlan; and claimed to be the Son of an "Offshoot" from the Alliance, brought into the Clan just after his Crest manifested.

Edelgard understood one detail in Claude's Goal, it will cause problems for the Church, knowing they were the ones who isolated Fódlan from the rest of the World. So with Jaune helping him, Claude took the chance in a heartbeat.

Claude: I know, Jaune. It seems you already figured out what I was planning from the start.

Jaune: I have a Sister who's a Schemer. I can easily tell what a Schemer is planning from experience.

Claude: Ah, yes. Aqua, nice Girl she is. Got to know her a couple of days ago. Quite frankly, I can see Lyisthea hating her when it comes to her Pranks than mine. I believe in the coming years, she and I will get along quite well.
