It's Too Late

Chapter 2

Emily's POV

It was finally Saturday! The day I've been dreaming about since I was sixteen is finally here! I was snapped out of my thoughts when Callie yelled at me.

"Come on, Emily! we have to get ready!", Callie yelled pulling me out of bed. She spent the night last night. I curled Callie's medium dark brown hair and did her eye make up for her. Callie loosely curled my long black hair. I just did my everyday smoky eye. I got dressed into my crop top and high waited shorts. Callie got dressed into her outfit then we headed out the door. Of course I grabbed my camera first.

"I can't believe we're finally here!", Callie squealed. Since the concert was at a theme park we got there early so we could ride some of the rollercoasters before the concert.

After five quick hours of riding rollercoasters the meet& greet for the concert started. Callie and I were about twelfth in line.

"Are you excited that you finally get to meet Riker?", I asked Callie. All she could do was nod.

"How about you and Ross?", she asked wiggling her eyebrows.

"It'll be to cool to finally meet my idol", I said calmly even though I was freaking out on the inside.

"Cool? This is cooler than cool!", Callie said smacking my arm. After standing in line and talking fir about a half hour, it was finally our turn to meet them.

First in line was Riker. "Hi", he smiled hugging me. I obviously hugged him back returning the 'hi'. I think Callie forgot to breathe when he hugged her. We hugged all of them saying hi.

"Where are you girls from?", Rocky asked.

"Here", Callie answered. I nodded in agreement.

"What's your guys' name?", Rydel asked.

"I'm Emily, and this is Callie", I introduced. We all got close together for a picture. I stood in between Ross and Rocky. Callie stood between Rocky and Riker. We all took a nice picture together then we decided to take a funny picture. Callie jumped on Rocky's back like he was giving her a piggy back ride. Ross picked me up bridal style. After the picture, he put me down and gave me one last hug. When he did he slipped something in my back pocket. "I hope you enjoy the show", he whispered in my ear.

"I bet I will", I replied smiling. He waved and winked as I walked away, that was odd but every fangirl's dream.

"Oh my god! Did you see the way he looked at you?", Callie screamed. I felt like I was in some kind of trance. I couldn't stop thinking about what happened. Is Callie right? Did he look at me different? I just thought it all in my head.

"I think your crazy!", I said laughing. Maybe it wasn't real. Maybe it was in both of our heads.

"You THINK I'm crazy? I KNOW I'm crazy", she said. We laughed then found our seats for the concert. Our seats were in the second row between Rocky and Ross. We were like seven feet away from the stage. It was so cool! After waiting for another forty-five minutes the concert started with Jacob Whitesides' performance. After Jacob, Ryland did his DJ set. Thirty minutes after Ryland's set, the R5 performance started.

Callie and I were singing and going crazy the whole night. After the concert, some of the rides were still open. First, we went on the sling shot type of ride where it takes you up really high then just drops down. We were halfway to the top when someone tapped my leg. I look over and see Ross.

"What are you doing?", he asked/yelled. Well, that was a stupid question.

"Oh, you know, just hangin", I answered laughing.

"Yeah, that was a pretty stupid question. You must be pretty wild to go on this ride?", he laughed. "Did you read it?" Before I could process what he said the ride reached the top. Ross grabbed my hand then we shot down. I could hear Riker's screams from where I was sitting. Once we reached the bottom Ross immediately got out of his seat. He unbuckled mine and helped me down because I'm short.

"Thank you", I said looking up at him. He smiled looking down at me. We just stood there smiling at each other until Callie came over.

"Emily, look who I found!", she said, "oh, you found them too."

"Yeah, Ross was sitting next to me", I said snapping out of my trance.

"Cool! Emily, we should go on that tall crane looking thing that spins!", Callie suggested.

"Yeah, we were just about to go over there let's go together", Ross said. Everyone agreed and ran over to the ride. Rydel and Ratliff went together. Riker and Ryland went together. Rocky sat with Callie, and Ross sat with me.

"I have to admit. I've never been on this ride before, and I'm kind of terrified", I said once we reached the top.

"It's okay, I'm here and nothing will happen to you", He said grabbing my hand. The ride started, and I held onto his hand super tight screaming. Once we got off I ran to the ground and laid on it.

"Oh sweet, sweet land!", I said thanking the lord that I survived. Ross just laughed at me and helped me get back up off the ground. We spent the rest of the night riding rides with them. It was about 1:00 in the morning when Callie and I decided we should go home. We hugged everyone saying our goodbyes.

"Promise me I'll see you again", Ross whispered hugging me. I didn't know what to say. "don't forget to check your back pocket." He let go and said goodbye one last time before Callie and I drove away. As Callie was driving us back home, I dug into my back pocket to find a little slip of paper with seven numbers written on it.
