How Soon Is Now

Part Two - Chapter Thirty-Two: Rescuing Charlotte

Nicola sighed closing her eyes and leant back into Fernando's arms, he kissed her neck as he held her; they were preparing a rescue mission for Charlotte before Gideon could hurt her in anyway. 

"She'll be okay, she's strong like her mother," Fernando murmured making Nicola turn round to face him; the whitelighter flashed her a smile before he kissed her softly wanting to ease her mind. 

Fernando hated that this was happening to them, they'd had enough bad luck in the past couple of years and he wanted nothing more than to forget about what was happening. 

"I want her back, Nando. I want her in my arms," Nicola whispered making Fernando nod brushing some hair from the blonde's face, he ignored the look that Henry shoot him as he held Nicola close; he didn't care what the other man thought. 

Fernando knew that he was getting attached to having Nicola back, he wasn't sure what he was going to do when it came to letting her go; she couldn't stay and he would have to let her go back to the afterlife. 

"I know. We taught her well. She's smarter than you. She's tougher than me," Fernando murmured trying to comfort his soul-mate, she nodded softly as she buried her head into his neck and tried to keep her mind away from the bad thoughts. 

Nicola took a deep breath, she was going to kill Gideon when she found out where he was and she knew that this time there would be no coming back; Neena was gone and she was sure that there was no one else that was going to help him return again. 

"I love her so much, I just can't," Nicola whimpered breaking off making Fernando smile as he closed his eyes; he hated the idea that Gideon had a head start on them. 

However Fernando had every intention of making Gideon suffer for what he had done to his family, he wasn't going to let the former Elder get away with this again.

"I know... We both do. Charlotte knows that. I'll get her back, Nicola. I promise," Fernando murmured making Nicola pull back slightly and look at him with a small smile, she could still see the man that she had fallen in love with all those years ago.

"I know you will," Nicola replied before she kissed Fernando while her mother watched them sadly, she knew that this would end badly when Nicola had to return to the afterlife. 

Alexandria had no idea how badly this was going to end, she didn't want Nicola to get hurt but there was no way that she could stay; she was dead and she would have to return to the afterlife when this was dealt with. 

Fernando ducked down and kissed Nicola, he wasn't going to think about what the future held for them; he was going to ensure that he made the most of what little time he had left with Nicola.

Ryan cleared his throat stepping into the room, he looked around nervously knowing that he wasn't entirely happy with what was about to happen but it wasn't his place to intervene. 

The couple pulled apart and turned to look at Ryan, they were hopeful that he had been able to find out where Gideon had taken Charlotte; they were going to get their daughter back no matter what. 

"I know where Gideon is hiding out," Ryan confirmed knowing that it had taken him a few hours to get the answers that Fernando and Nicola wanted; he dreaded to think what they were going to do when they were face to face with the man that had ruined their lives.

Fernando looked at Nicola, this was it and he was sure that by the end of the day that they would have their daughter back and Gideon would be no more.

Gideon frowned staring at Charlotte annoyed, the little girl had encased herself in a shield and she wasn't letting him anywhere near him; he wished to start trying her for her future.
