The tension seems... less suffocating, if I were to compare it from before. The room felt lighter, and so did the mood of the woman sitting across from me, peacefully enjoying her food. I, too, was clearly enjoying my pasta, munching and savoring every bit of it. Buti nalang talaga she was kind enough to order me one. If she didn't I would've been stuck eating the salad that I ordered. I would've barfed in front of her. I clearly don't enjoy vegetables, so thank heavens. Who knew she was this kind? Never did I ever expect her to be this compassionate towards me despite us literally making a scene inside our classroom just a couple of hours ago. 'bat naman kasi ang sama-sama niya kanina? Ayan tuloy, napagkamalan kong maldita't demonyo. Chos. Pero malay mo, good mood lang talaga siya right now, then after babalik na siya sa pagiging iskeri niya. Mood swings kumbaga. Sana naman 'wag.
I took a glance at the woman in front of me while I picked my pasta. I observed her with my head down and eyes directly locked at her as she ate her food, clearly enjoying it.
A quick smile escaped from my lips as I looked at her. She seemed so happy with her food. Her mood was clearly different from before, making me feel more at ease. Not only that, she also looked really... dashing, I guess. Now, now, don't jump into conclusions. I'm simply just complimenting her, that's all.
Suddenly, I was snapped back from the whole 'observing her' moment when her phone dinged, a notification. Akala ko na kung ano, notif lang pala. Nakakagulat. And plus, buti nalang talaga nagka-notif, or elss baka matutunaw na siya sa kaka-titig ko. Yaks, Jhian! Apaka weirdo!!!
She quickly looked at her phone on top of the table and placed her utensils down as she wiped her mouth. She grabbed it and looked at the notification.
The moment she saw what the notification was, her mood quickly shifted. I could see it in her eyes, the joy quickly fading away, replaced by some kind of... emotion that seemed to bring back the tense, suffocating tension from before.
I got scared, pondering on what the notification was and why it suddenly made her mood change. Sevyne sighed, placing her phone back down on the table and started eating again. Of course, ginaya ko nalang. I'm too scared to even ask. And who am I even to ask? It's not like we're close for her to tell me. Gosh...
- SEVYNE's POV -
The food was great, savory. I clearly enjoyed it, and so did the girl in front of me, Jhian. She seemed very content with the food, nodding in satisfaction every mow and then. It made me smile just a little. I'm glad I was able to at least lessen the choking atmosphere from before.
*Notification*
I was about to finish, when suddenly a notification was sent to my phone. I quickly placed my silverware down, wiping my mouth before checking what it was. To my surprise, it was my boyfriend, Tristan. Why did he message me all of a sudden?
