"What the hell is this about?"
A familiar voice startled me from behind.

"What do you mean?" I turned around to see Angelica holding up her phone, an image displayed on the screen.

I turned my head away, avoiding the image. "I don't want to see his abs, Angie," I said, referencing her latest obsession.

"It's not about Johnny Depp. It's Caleb's Instagram." She rolled her eyes and hurried to catch up with my pace.

"What about it?"

"He posted a picture of himself and..." She paused, zooming in on the image before showing me the screen.

I stopped walking, taking a good look at the picture. "Isn't that Cassandra from chem class?" I asked, pressing my index finger to my lip.

"Cassandra the cheerleader! The same one who's been going on and on about how she wants to have his kids."

I stared at Angie for a moment, unsure of what to say.

"You're not helping by just staring at me." she groaned.

"I'm sure there's nothing going on. You know Caleb is 'kiss-her-shoes' in love with you."

"Ha-ha, so funny." she said sarcastically, rolling her eyes.

"Seriously though, you shouldn't read too much into it. Just trust him," I said in a reassuring tone.

"You know, you still haven't told me why you left for D.C. out of the blue."

Angelica sighed quietly. "It was just some stupid party Daddy planned last minute for Dominic."

I stopped in shock. "Dominic? Your brother? The one who went to Europe?"

"Ugh," she groaned. "Don't remind me we're related."

"The idiot decided to get all mature on me and get engaged." We continued walking.
"Now my dad keeps pestering me to get a serious boyfriend," she added with another groan.

"What about Caleb?" I asked, confused.

"You know how my dad is with the guys I date," she sighed.

Noticing the tense air, I grinned and nudged her shoulder. "Guess what?"

"What?" she asked, her brows lifting as she chuckled at my sudden shift in mood.

"Demi called!" I beamed, practically bouncing on my feet.

"OMG! Are you serious? Give me her number right now!" she squealed, her face lighting up with excitement as she playfully grabbed my arm.

"Whoa, chill out!" I laughed, pulling my arm away. "You'll get it, I promise!"
