River and Michael were able to take some time out of their busy schedules to hang out. Michael thought it would be fun for them to go to Treatz. It was an ice cream shop the two went to when they were teens. It was a place Michael would often hide from paparazzi too. The two sat at a booth next to one of the windows.
"I haven't been here in so long. This place hasn't changed a bit." River said looking around.
"I can tell things haven't changed because you still like bland vanilla milkshakes." Michael joked
"Excuse you there's nothing wrong with a vanilla milkshake."
"It's still bland."
"Whatever" She giggled. "Coming back here feels good though. I feel like I'm a kid again."
"We had some good times here."
"We did two young kids that were in love." She smiled at the memory. "At least one of us has found love again. My love life hasn't gone anywhere really."
"I find that hard to believe though. Any man would be lucky to have you."
"Guys have asked me out but they aren't the right one." She shrugged. "I rather not compromise my wants and needs."
"You shouldn't," He told her. "You deserve a man to give you what your heart desires. Don't settle for less."
"I'm not because my parents ain't raise no fool." They laughed. "I'm happy for you Michael. It's great that you're with Nova I love going to her bakery everything is always fresh. Her brownies are the best."
"Yeah her skills are unmatched."
"How long have you two been together?"
"Two years" He answered.
"That's awesome I can tell that she loves you." She saw that Nova seemed to take good care of Michael. "You need that"
"I've known her since we were kids. She used to think I was annoying." He laughed at the thought. "Now we're together."
