River arrived at Hayvenhurst around noon. The place hasn't changed at all. She used to come here almost every day when she and Michael were together. It brought back so many memories for her. Michael was seated on the balcony of his bedroom seeing her pull up. River grabbed her purse stepping out of the driver's seat.
"Hey Riv!" Michael called wavering at her.
"Hey Mike!" River waved back at him.
"I'll be right down!" He made his way downstairs to meet her outside. "Did you have a good drive?"
"Yeah since it's Saturday the traffic wasn't as horrible as usual." She looked around the estate. "I haven't been here in forever."
"I know I'm glad you're back. My family is excited to see you."
"Let's not keep them waiting." The two went inside and were greeted by Katherine.
"River it's so good to see you." Katherine loved River and thought she was the sweetest. "You and Michael were amazing on the show."
"Thank you, Mrs. Jackson. Michael brought it."
"You're the one who choreographed the routine." Michael couldn't take the credit. "When you go into performance mode you're another person entirely. You should give people a warning because I was caught off guard a bit." This caused her to laugh.
"Sorry, when it's performance time I go for it. The good thing is that you can match my energy." She smirked.
"I can keep up with you."
"I hope you can because on Wednesday I found out what our next dance is. Make sure you stretch."
"What dance are we doing?" Now he was intrigued.
"Nope, I'm sworn to secrecy until we have rehearsal Tuesday." She shook her pointer finger back and forth. "You'll have to wait until then."
"Can't you give me a hint?"
"Nope," She grinned. "You'll find out soon enough.
Katherine couldn't stop the smile she had on her face. The way the two of them interacted with each other was so cute. When they were together Michael was the happiest she had ever seen him. She'd thought they were adorable together. Katherine liked Nova but she thought River was better for Michael. It's his life so she has to respect his wishes.
"River it's been a long time." Joseph came downstairs. "How are you doing?"
"Hi Mr. Jackson it's good to see you again. I'm doing good. How are you?" River asked.
