River enjoyed the charity ball but was much happier being back home. She flew back to Manhattan two days ago. Today she had some time to recover from the jet lag. What better way to relax than hanging out with your best friend? She was passing the time doing word search puzzles on the couch when the intercom crackled to life.

"Hey Riv buzz me in!" Indigo said.

River stood up walking up the intercom. "Come up Indi" She hit the bottom to let her onto the elevator. Then a few seconds later the doors opened and Indigo stepped inside.

"Hey, bestie" Indigo had some pep in her step.

"You're in a good mood. What happened?" River asked curiously.

"Amir came over last night." She went to the kitchen grabbing a bottle of champagne.

"Isn't it a little too early for day drinking?"

"It's day time ain't it?" Indigo opened the bottle. "This is what I'm talking about. You want a glass?"

"You could have asked before opening my champagne." River went into the kitchen leaning on the counter. "And you're still messing with Amir? I don't get it are you two going to be together or not." She took a glass from River when she finished pouring.

"Look Amir and I decided it was best to focus on our careers. That doesn't mean we can't still have fun because we aren't together." River enjoyed having a good time. This was one of the many things she liked in her spare time.

"And there's no feelings involved at all?" River questioned.

"No we're good we established boundaries. I had to kick him out of my place before I got here." Indigo took a sip.

"Girl you crazy"

"So how was the charity ball?"

"It was the same as always but something interesting did happen?"

"What?" Indigo leaned in closer.

"I um....ran into Michael." She knew how Indigo was going to react and the huge grin on her face proved it.

"Is he still fine?" Indigo teased with a playful smirk.

"Indi"

"I'm just saying when you guys broke up you were teenagers. But now he's a grown man there's a difference. I can only imagine he's gotten more attractive." She waited for her response. "So is he still fine?"

River let out a dramatic sigh. "Yes he's still fine but that doesn't mean anything."

"What do you mean it doesn't? It means everything girl."

River decided to pick up the glass. Now she needed some alcohol. "No, it doesn't Indi."

"Your whole aura shifted as soon as you said his name." Waving her hand back and forth to make her point. "You know this is my eye power thing. I can see it"
