Azura just stared down at him as sighed had no words for this.
That was when Knuckles explained to her, "So-Azura. I know you are mad at me. In fact I don't blame you if you actually hate me. But, what I was doing, getting you gifts, trying to treat you like a princess, trying to be a man you deserve, and all of that."
He then sadly said to her, "It was because I love you. Sure at first I try to kill you by poisoning you, but I stopped. I couldn't bring myself to do it. That was when I realized I fell in love with you. I wanted to make you happy. In fact, I wanted to make you the happiest woman ever. But everything turned into a failure."
Azura said nothing but continue to stare down at him.
Knuckles then finished his sentenced, "I don't know what to do anymore to make you happy. But, I guess if killing me will make you happy. Then I won't resist. I won't stop you. I gave on you cause If I loved you I set you free. So please, kill me."
Azura wasn't reacting or anything.
That was when she said in a cold and hushed tone, "I don't give requests to people who want to be dead. There is no honor in that. Besides, I have no weapons on me. I left them at home. What you are saying is just pathetic. Now if you excuse me. I gotta get back."
She walked off leaving Knuckles with his head in shame.
She looked at him and thought, "There is no reason to kill you now."
Jet 'who rushed to him' shouted, "Sir! Sir! Are you okay?"
Knuckles replied to him, "A little. But my eye still hurts. I asked Azura to kill me but she didn't."
Jet 'shocked as something clicked' said, "She took pity on you. How dare that woman?! I swear. I'm gonna..."
Knuckles said 'stopping him', "It's fine."
Jet protested while looking at Knuckles, "Are you whacked?! She took pity on you sir!!"
He snickered and said, "Which is actually what I wanted her to do."
Jet had a dumbstruck expression and asked, "What? Did you...? How did...?"
Knuckles answered, "Just to see if she can."
Jet asked in shock, "WHAT THAT A TEST?!"
Knuckles stood up and replied, "Of course. But shut your beak Jet, she can possibly hear you."
Jet sighed deeply and replied, "This is weird... I really should lay off the spicy hot sauce in my chips and dip."
