About two earth days later.
Izuku and Ochako sat in the room while Eri slept in Ochako's arms, having exhausted herself after a long day of running around the base.
"That was sweet of you." Ochako whispers to Izuku.
"I'm just doing my job." Izuku tells her. "Besides, in some ways, she's just like us." He tells her. "Experimented on for the sake of a goal that was someone else's dream. But unlike us, she didn't sign up for them."
"You feel obliged to take care of her?" Ochako asks him.
"Let's be honest. I'd make a shit parent." He tells her. "I mean, I've issues, I know that. And I'd rather not spoil someone else's childhood because of those issues."
"So what do you suggest?" Ochako asks him. "Because we can't keep her at SWORD for very long. She needs to interact with people her age, which SWORD lacks."
"Aizawa." Izuku tells her. "He's got the perfect quirk to train her in her quirk. Plus, with the resources that Chimera has, it'll be easier to keep her protected."
"Better not to let her get too attached to us then, right?" Ochako mutters.
"Yeah." Izuku responds. "Keeping her at some distance is probably the best thing. For everyone." He sighs.
"That's what you said about me too." Ochako points out.
"This and that are two very different things Ochako." Izuku sighs as there is a knock on the door. Izuku looks at Ochako who simply shrugs. "I'll go check it out." Izuku says as he gets up and opens the door.
"Major Urara-." The agent on the door responds. "Oh... this saves me time." The agent says seeing Izuku answer the door.
"Agent Barnes. What brings you here?" Izuku asks the man.
"General has summoned you. Both of you." He tells them.
"Tiger is a bit occupied." Izuku tells him, turning to look at Ochako and then back at the man. "Walk with me. Brief me on the way."
"But-"
"No buts. Move." Izuku tells him as he basically pushes out the man and closes the door behind him. "Let's go." Izuku says as he walks to Abigail's office with the man.
"There has been a hostage situation." Agent Barnes tells Izuku.
"And?"
"They've requested SWORD's assistance."
"There are other agents. Who are combat ready." Izuku tells him. "Squad Omega isn't mobilized for regular hostage situations. What's the catch?"
"Multiple ambassadors who were attending the United Nations 1000th General Assembly, that was supposed to discuss reforms related to modification of the International Quirk Accords, have been taken hostage and are being held till they pass laws that ban the usage of quirks entirely." Barnes answers.
"Humarise..." Izuku mutters. "But Humarise is a small cult. At least after A-Force's mission in Otheon. They probably have helpers... But who'd want to support such a small group..." Izuku thinks out loud.
"Kai-Ohs." A voice answers. "Two of the Kai-Oh groups to be specific."
"Fox." Izuku greets the man while Agent Barnes stops and saluted the older man. "Care to tell me what's going on?"
"Judicator, Bushin and the Scarlet Brothers have teamed up on this one." Fox tells him.
"Why join up with Humarise though?" Izuku asks him as Fox relives Agent Barnes and takes over for him as they walk to Abigail's office.
