The Next Morning!!

Aastha got ready for the hospital and sat in the hall beside Karishma.

Aastha (hesitant): Karishma, can I take him in my arms?

Karishma (smiles): Tai, don't hesitate, please.

Aastha sat with folded legs on the couch and Karishma gently placed sleeping Krish on her lap. Aastha was admiring him, she touched his chubby rosy cheeks which made his lips turn into a faint smile.

Samar felt he needed some attention from his Bua so he let out a small cry and Aastha chuckled. Aastha gestured towards Samrat to bring him to her. Samrat placed Samar carefully in Aastha's arms which made him stop crying immediately.

Aastha: O so Samar baby was missing Bua.

Samar slowly closed his eyes to sleep in her arms. Krish was sleeping on her lap.

Sonali asked Aastha generally, "Aastha when Anurag is returning?"

Aastha's smile vanished, and Sai and Virat facepalmed themselves mentally.

Aastha (coldly): I don't know Kaku.

Aastha gave babies to their parents and left for her work.

In the evening,

Aastha returned with too many bags Advik was holding the bags following her and another guard of Samrat came with a big thal containing sweets. Aastha holds one small but beautiful bag.

Ashwini (curious): Aastha beta, what's all this?

Aastha (happily): Aai, tomorrow is Rakshabandhan and this is my first Rakshabandhan with family and brothers, so I bought a few gifts for them and rakhis, sweets, and everything.

Sonali: You didn't buy anything for yourself?

Aastha chuckles, "No kaku I did, I bought a new dress for myself and it's from Saurabh and Samriddhi's boutique."

Omkar (impressed): Nice choice, they have an amazing collection of clothes.

Aastha nods in approval.

Aastha: Advik keep all the things in my room.

Ninad: Won't you show us what you bought?

Aastha (excited): Baba, it's a surprise for you all.

Ninad: Okay.

Aastha changed into comfy clothes and sat in the hall waiting for Samar to wake up from his nap. After waiting for freaking long 8 minutes Samar was awake and saw himself in his bua's arms.

Aastha was playing with him no one was there in the hall. She heard the sound of footsteps from the lawn approaching her.

Aastha knew the person from the voice of its footsteps itself. Aastha cradled the tiny boy against her chest as she saw Anurag, a mischievous, hurt, and relieved glint in her eyes. She glanced up at him, then back down at the baby, her voice soft and playful as she began to introduce Anurag to the newborn.
