"What are you?" Fitz cut off the twins' conversation. He scanned over them again, and there was nothing weird about them.
"I told you he was eavesdropping." Breeze scowled at Maple. "Perhaps a wound will make him shut up." Breeze continued to complain as he pulled out a gleaming dagger. Fitz saw Maple shot her twin brother a deathening glare but Breeze pretended that he didn't see it. Fitz took a step back. He saw the dagger coming at him. Fitz sighed deeply, calming himself.
A strike of electricity knocked Breeze out. He fell lifelessly to the ground. Maple shook her head, "Stupid." she quoted.
"If you really have to know what we are, we're prisoners, yes, just like your shade a few years ago." Maple picked her brother up with telekinesis, threw him into the corner of the room, "He can stay there until he wakes up." Maple's ice cold voice said.
Fitz shivered. He pulled out his Spy Ball, "Show m Sophie Foster." he said in a low voice.
The mist cleared in the glass ball, picturing Sophie, or one of Keefe's creations, and Keefe. Sophie laid in Keefe's arms and his fox burying its head in Sophie's chest. Fitz's fists clenched tightly. Kyuubi...
"Miss your ex, huh?" Maple's voice sliced through the thin air, glancing at the globe made of glass.
"Nothing." He quickly hid the tiny globe in one of his hidden pockets. His mind searched for the right excuse, or, he tried. He sighed. He needed some people for his plans. He couldn't be at two places at once. He took another deep breath. "Have you ever wanted to leave this place?" He finally found the courage to ask.
Maple stared at him, totally speechless. "What do you mean? Aren't you on your girlfriend's side? I mean Flames."
"She's not my girlfriend, never." Fitz continued. "I mean, have you ever wanted to get out of the Neverseen?" He lowered his voice, in case the night patrol is near.
"No one can set me free now, and Breeze, too." Maple said after taking deep breaths, her voice cracking.
"What do you mean?"
"Remember these?" She raised her fists, a glowing white band with a recognisable keyhole wrapped around her hand, flickering. "The keys are buried with the dead body of our Technopath. There's no way out."
Fitz feel the end of his lips twitched into a smile. Things are the other way around.

Sophie wrapped her arms around Keefe tightly. "I miss you." She said, nuzzling his neck. He smiled. "Miss you too."
"ENOUGH, LOVEBIRDS!!" Ro shouted from behind, making several pigeons fly away from her.
"AWWWW, I BET FOSTER HAD BO RIGHT HERE!!" Keefe shouted back.
"You're doomed." Sophie said, smiling at him. Ro looked mad.
"Probably."
Then Sophie's Imparter rang. She quickly got off Keefe.
Biana.
"Sophie, Fitz is gone." She said, her usual wavy hair messy, and fear filled her eyes. Sophie couldn't recognise the rest of her sentence.
"Biana, calm down. What happened? Where are you?" Sophie soothed her best friend down.
"Fitz is gone. Since last night. He said he was going out and no oe saw him ever since." Biana did calm down a little, her hands ruffling with something Sophie didn't see.
"Isn't he an Emissary?" Keefe asked. "He probably just got a message from the Council or something."
"The council never messages an Emissary at night unless it's urgent." Biana debated, pulling stacks of paper out rom Fitz's drawer. She gasped.
"What happened, Biana?" Sophie frowned, her mind is telling her this isn't something she would want to know.
"He got a letter from Gisela, five years ago."
