"Fitz, I've already chose Keefe over you, when are you going to stop about this?" Sophie's voice rang through Fitz's mind. Cold, hard words hit the walls of his empty mind, echoing through his mental barriers. Sophie was mad at him, and there's no reason to argue with her.
Moonlight spilled on her ice blue gown, and he couldn't help string at her. The cute cease between her eyebrows and her anger-flared pupils did not match. Fitz repressed a sigh.
"I'm sorry, Sophie." Fitz ran out of words, the Sophie he used to know is gone, and the Sophie in front of him is just one of Keefe's projects.
Sophie glared at him, her eyes full of hate, and returned back to the lobby, where the others are celebrating their graduation. He stared at Sophie's long, slim shadow. He already know that all his efforts will turn into nothing.
A cold but familiar voice rang through his mind.
Fitz.
His second identity is rising. The identity he hid from everyone. The dark side that no one knew. His inside screamed. No one but himself can free him.

That night, he stood on the edge of the steep roof of Everglen's tallest building. Let it end. He told himself. He took a deep breath, feeling the pain and agony inside his heart. The scars on his fists showed how heart broken he was for Sophie. Let it end. His mind whispered. Let it end. End everything. End ...
"Am I interrupting you?" A deep voice called. Fitz opened his eyes, a man in white stood there, staring at him.
"Who are you?" Fitz asked, if the Never seen had sent an assassin to kill him, he's not afraid at all.
"Is life that hard for you?" The man ignored his questions. His purple pupils scanned all over Fitz's body.
"It's none of your business." Fitz replied. Rain dripped down his face, soaking his tunic and running into his shoes. Thunder cackled loudly .
"I'm asking for a deal." The man said to him, his eyes full of some kind of emotion Fitz can't describe.
"What's it then?" Fitz asked, despair flood through his veins.
"I'm looking for a person who can afford a second identity. You're the only person I have found that is available. I promise you can have all my power and strength, but you have to finish one thing for me."
The man required."What is the price?" Fitz asked.
"You." The man said, one of his eyes turning a weird shade of red.
"What do you mean?" Fitz asked again, stepping backwards onto the steep roof.
"It means you passed the god's test, Fitz, now, if you and I reach this agreement, which means I have to stay in your body and you can control my powers and mind."
"Why would I want that?" Fitz asked, stepping away from him. "And who are you?"
"I'm a god, Fitz, and you really don't know what that means, don't you? It means that if you have the right plan, you can stop the fight between the Black Swan and the Neverseen. With your intelligence and my ability, we can create peace, and you can also prove yourself to those who doubted your ability that you are not ho they think you are."
Fitz listened. It does sound like a good deal. Well, at least better than suiciding.
"Have we reached an agreement?" The man urged.
"Yes."
