At first glance, the drake seemed dormant, but closer inspection revealed a gruesome reality: scars and wounds inflicted by dragonite arms.
Scale-less and skinless, the creature's appearance belied its true state. A Praetorian brother sensed trickery and cast a dispelling spell. As the illusion dissipated, a veil of fog lifted, exposing the drake's lifeless form. The truth was stark: the drake was a corpse, cleverly concealed by dark magic.
One of the brothers spoke, "This must be a trap, Brother Flaviatas."
"Indeed Brother Garkus, intended for dragon hunters." Said Flaviatas.
All of them stand ready, preparing for a suprise attack by the dragonites inside the cave. "We should get out of here now brothers" said by Lodart.
Brother Flaminanus approached Flaviatas, "Brother we must escape, i hear hundreds approaching us."
Brother Flaminanus looked at the massive hole above them, "this cave is filled with giant man-eating worms."
Flaviatas wasted no time and told Vinidus to activate the shield relic bestowed upon their group, each battle brother was shielded. The group fled the cave with haste, racing against time. Reaching the abandoned arsenal, Flaviatas directed his companions to swiftly claim their chosen arms. Equipped and reinvigorated, they pressed onward. However, their escape was short-lived, as colossal man-eating worms gave chase. Flaminanus bravely confronted one, but was rapidly overwhelmed. The shield relic's potency proved a lifeline, shielding him from the worm's lethal bite.
"Flaminanus!" Flaviatas shouted, "Go! On this day, the great Flaminanus has served!" The group ran leaving behind Flaminanus. Over the distance Flaminanus can be seen slaying hundreds upon hundreds of colossal worms.
"We will come back for brother Flaminanus!" Said by Flaviatas. "We will bring the war heralds and rescue Flaminanus. There is hope after all!" Flaviatas zeal bolstered the moral of his battle brothers.
Finally, they have reached the exit. Exhausted to the fullest, "How will we make contact with the war heralds? Ogryth's group is far away we will never make it in time brothers!" Said by Garkus.
"Flaminanus will die brother Flaviatas." Said by Lordart
"Where is the beacon!" Flaviatas shouts, "Activate the beacon, Ogryth will answer our call."
Lodart deployed the beacon in an open area, triggering a radiant beam that illuminated the horizon. Ogryth, taken aback, summoned his War Herald companions to investigate. Ogryths group quickly headed to the stables station where their war griffons are resting. Reaching the place, they swiftly mounted their war griffons and set off with urgency, soaring towards the beacon's source.
