Dawn arrived in the north, welcoming the rising sun and its warmth descending upon the land. The blizzard calmed, rivers flowed with life, and the rustling of leaves within the forest could be heard.
The demigod of trickery arrived, halted by the knights of Aecomdol who demanded to know their business. A lord knight stepped forward and explained their presence in Aecomdol. The knights then called the City Watch and informed the apostles of an envoy.
A few moments later, the knights allowed them to enter the city. The demigod, cloaked in an illusionary spell and disguised as a lord ruler, observed keenly. They made their way into the inner city, guided by the City Watch of Aecomdol, and he with a carriage followed by a band of winged knights.
The demigod was aware of the Queen of Death but did not anticipate encountering another demigod. He treaded carefully, mindful of his words. Upon entering the royal palace, servants came to assist them. Seated in a room, the guard stood by outside, with winged knights and knights of ancient standing opposite facing each other.
The personal voice apostle of the Queen entered, greeting the demigod of trickery and his party. Greetings and formalities were exchanged, and both parties spoke respectfully of their respective sides. The conversation eventually shifted, breaking the charade to discussing the establishment of a neighboring relationship.
"I think we all know why we are here for no?" The demigod said,
"With that in mind lets hear it, lord ruler of the order." Said the voice of the Queen in response,
"We want to establish a neighboring relation with the hegemony and its allies, i hope we all could agree on this part of the matter." Said the demigod responding to the personal voice apostle of the queen,
"Ah yes indeed, but the Queen has a question in mind. What are the thorns for." Said the voice apostle in calm tone,
"It is for the blizzards to stay out, we condemned it dangerous for our Order and her majesty." As the demigod replied in return,
"I see, we agree to be neighbors on neutral ground yet we will not tolerate such intrusions such as this act. We did not know such envoy or messenger would arrive. I am suprised the greyhounds did not attack you on your journey here in our territory." Said the voice apostle of the queen,
"Worry not, we were not attacked by anyone, I thank you for agreeing to establish neutrality within our borders. Our Goddess would yet again pay a visit to improve our relations. Worry not about the thorns it is not for hostile reasons." Said the demigod in reply,
After discussing their matters, both party leaders stood and shook hands to conclude the meeting. As the demigod exited the room, the winged knights followed.
Back in his carriage, he dispelled the illusion and sent a raven made of his magic to the Queen Goddess with details of the meeting. Both queens overheard the proceedings, and suspicion grew in their minds. Nonetheless, the charade continued, with the Order sending envoys and messengers to strengthen the relationship between their two powerhouses.
Likewise, the Queen of Cursed Snow, with her centuries of experience, recognized the subtle manipulations in the envoy's words. Yet, for the sake of their respective agendas, the charade continued.
Envoys and messengers traveled frequently between the Sacred City and Aecomdol. Each delegation carried elaborate gifts, intricate tokens of goodwill that masked the true intent behind their exchange. The Order sought to fortify this precarious alliance, hoping to harness the might of the Hegemony of Aecomdol to further their dominion over the realm.
