ACCEPTING 'US'

After Sudha arrived home early in the morning she was greeted by her very excited mother in law. She dearly missed her presence and now that she is back she is beyond happy.
" How have you been Sudha? " She asked while embracing. Sudha felt her heart tuck at the way she welcomed her.
" I am good maaji and how are you? " She asked walking in while Shyam carried her luggage inside.
" Now that you are back again the house looks more lively " she chimed. Sudha talked for a while, took the luggage from shyam and went inside to arrange the clothes.
" Shyama let her take little rest. I will prepare brekfast till then " she said and started preparing breakfast.
" Sudha " he called while closing the door behind. Sudha's hands stopped midway and she looked upto him. He walked near her making Sudha nervous and the tension between the both was quite evident. She wanted to say something, anything but nothing came to her mind and it felt senseless to talk when he was around.
" Umm. Ma asked you to take little rest. Breakfast will be prepared by ma " he said looking at her eyes. Sudha became aware of his gaze and started biting her lips attempting to concentrate on the work in hand but shyam was planning something else.
" Sudha why are you becoming nervous all of a sudden? Is everything alright? " He asked and placed his hand on her forehead and then slowly moved it downword towards her cheek. She visibly shivered at the sensation. He slowly and sensually took his hand further down towards her jaw. Her breath hitched at the intensity of the moment. She closed her eyes anticipating something was about to come.
" Sudha what happened? Why aren't you answering? " He questioned again taking his hand below her jaw towards her chest and she immediately opened her eyes. Shyam observed her and took away his hand and now placed on her shoulder. Sudha exhaled deeply.
" No...nothing. I am fine. I am going to help maaji " she said and got up immediately. She wanted to get away from him because his presence was making her feel things she never felt before. Before shyam could say anything she left to kitchen. Shyam sighed knowing his wife was quite innocent to know the amount of attraction he has towards her.
Both Sudha and Devamma finished preparing breakfast while chatting about her visit to her parents' home. Sudha although was speaking to her she was somewhere losing her concentration towards her husband who was extremely getting closer to her and creating a mess of her feelings and body.
" Shyama come let's have breakfast " she called Shyam who was busy putting on clothes after bath.
The trio sat and had breakfast while talking about his expression in his in law's home for the first time after marriage. While eating he glanced at Sudha who was seemingly zoning out and eating suddenly. He understood that her internal turmoil was because of his closeness and he was also no less than a mess right now. All he wanted to do right now is to cuddle with her and talk about things he wished to do with her. He shook his head controlling all the dirty thoughts.
Shyam went to his work and Devamma also went to hers. Sudha was left alone with her thoughts now. She finished preparing lunch and was waiting for her maaji. But she didn't come at the regular time she would be coming. She was worried that something might be wrong and she immediately tensed up. She came out of the house for the first time without anyone along her and looked at the street in hope that her mother in law would show up but it turned out in vain as she didn't show up. She was upset and was about to go in when she was called by someone.
" Sudha right? " The lady asked who was a middle aged lady with a scarf around her head and a dupatta was covering her head as well.
" Ye..yes. May I know how do you know me? " Sudha asked her.
" Your mother in law always talks about you. She missed you when you were away " she said and sudha's heart swelled with pride.
" Okay " she said.
" By the way I am Aabida. We live here. And this is my home " she said showing the house which was exactly opposite to theirs. She nodded with a smile.
" You don't come outside much that's why I was not able to talk to you. Whenever you are free do visit my home we can catchup over a cup of tea sometime " she continued with a kind smile.
" Sure aunty " sudha replied and kept looking at the street repeatedly.
" Are you waiting for your mother in law? " She asked to which sudha nodded positively.
" I think she is caught up with work. Sometimes it happens she will come very late. Do not worry my child " she said and sudha nodded understanding her point.
" There she is " she chimed and Sudha immediately looked up to see her very tired mother in law walking over to her.
"Maaji are you alright? You look exhausted " she asked when she observed her. She smiled a little and exchanged few words with that lady and took me inside.
" Let's have lunch first. It's too late and I believe you too didn't eat " she said and both started eating.
" Aabida is a very kind lady. They are muslims and have been living here for a long time now. If you want you can befried her. She will take care of you as her own daughter " Devamma said.
" I like her maaji. She even asked me to come over to her home sometime to have tea " sudha said to which Devamma nodded.
" Sudha I am very tired child. I need to take rest. Can you manage to take lunch to shyama? " Devamma asked. Sudha nodded and packed his lunch as usual and started towards the farm after bidding her maaji and asking her to take enough rest.
She made her way towards the farm while observing her surroundings. She remembered the route as it was very near and easy to reach.
Shyam was waiting for her mother to show up as it was quite late than usual. He expected her to come after an hour but she didn't show up. He thought to go home by himself to eat.
He then saw sudha coming with lunch towards him and a warmth spread in his body. She came and asked him to wash his hands before she served him lunch. He observed how she carefully placed the items in plate and waited for him to start.
" Thank you and where is maa? " He asked concerned about her absence.
" Nothing, maaji is little tired and taking rest " she said casually. He relaxed knowing that she is well and safe.
" Why can't I see anyone here? Is everyone out of the farm? " She asked looking around.
" This whole farm from there to here is ours. So no one really comes here and moreover work is not much so labours are also not present. I am taking care of it right now " shyam replied looking at her. She nodded understanding his explanation.
" You had lunch? " He asked and she nodded.
Shyam took a morsel of food in his hand and extended towards her whose eyes widened.
" No no you eat. I already ate in home " she said shaking her head.
" I insist. For me " he said and she opened her mouth. He then took a morsel to his mouth looking at her. He intentionally licked his fingers making Sudha shudder and she felt heat in her body. She didn't understand a mere act of licking can do so many things to her body.
He repeated the same process for a few minutes. Sudha denied after that and shyam alone finished lunch and washed his hands. Sudha cleaned the tiffins and was about to go.
" Come I will show you something " he said and held her hand. Sudha had sparkles in her palm while he guided her. There were huge piles of dried grass which were tied and kept one above the other and it looked like a mini hut to her. Shyam made her sit on the dried grass.
" Whenever I feel tired of working I sleep here " he said and laid in the grass. Sudha giggled at him not understanding his childish act. Shyam couldn't stop himself from admiring her and pulled her towards himself. She gasped and landed on his chest.
" I need .... " She was about to say something but shyam shushed her. He held her close to him and enjoyed the serenity of the moment. She too relaxed after a few minutes and laid hearing his heartbeat. She didn't understand why but this moment felt utterly special and memorable.
Shyam placed his face on sudha's head and kissed it. She lifted her head and looked at him. He kissed her cheeks and eyes and then her forehead. Even now he resisted himself from touching her lips and sudha was anxiously waiting for him to touch his lips with her with closed eyes. She wanted to feel the touch of his lips against her and something inside her was blocking her sense.
" I think I will leave now. Maaji is alone in home" she said after few minutes and shyam nodded. He too got up not before kissing her cheek making her blush.
She went back home but she could not forget how shyam made her feel. Just thinking about it made her blush instantly.
Days passed by and sudha and shyam were having their cute moments together. Shyam didn't try to make her feel uncomfortable. He was just trying to make her feel safe and warm around him and to his surprise sudha was actually liking his presence around her opening up to him more.
The moments they spent together are making him go mad sometimes. He just wanted to stay with her, hold her, kiss her, touch her and just be with her. He wanted to leave everything aside and keep looking at her and stay beside her everytime.
One night when they were having dinner shyam looked at sudha and winked at her. Se choked on her food while Shyam tried to calm her down. Sudha kept looking at him angrily and Devamma rushed to bring water to her. Shyam bent towards sudha and kissed her cheek making her eyes go wide. When his ma brought water he acted as if nothing happened.
Sudha entered the bedroom after her regular chores to sleep and folded her hands in front of shyam who was looking at her with admiration.
" What were you trying to do there? " She asked angrily and shyam got up from bed.
" What I did? I did nothing " he shrugged while sudha burnt in anger.
" I know what it is like between husband and wife but you should not behave like that in front of maaji. I mean maaji may see us. I mean she may..." she wanted to say many things but his proximity left her speechless.
" I guess you know what this means? " he asked slowly coming near her. She nodded her head but she didn't know what awaited her later. She was now trapped by the wall behind.
" Tell me what you know about husband and wife? " he asked placing his hands on the sides of her face. She looked here and there not knowing what to answer.
" Look at me sudha " he said in a pleading tone which made her stomach twist in an unusual way.
" I.. I ... " she stammered not knowing how to answer his question.
" I am hearing sudha. Tell me what you know? " he asked again making her uncomfortable by moving close to her.
" I.. I do not...kn..know. that my friend was saying that husband and wife will have a different relationship than any others. I promise I really don't know what it means " she said while placing her thumb and index finger on her throat while he burst out loudly. She stood there confused until he calmed down.
Even though she knows what it is to be partners, she didn't want to spell it out loud. Shyam was already getting extremely closer to her and if she spells it all out it means waking a lion from sleep.
" Oh really. Then I think I should talk with your friend then. I should know what she taught you regarding husband and wife " he said making her eyes wide and mouth wide open.
