What if something happened to Bonnie, and Enzo had to rush her to the hospital.Bonnie stirred awake, clutching her stomach as a sharp pain shot through her abdomen. At first, she dismissed it as period cramps. Deciding to get a snack, she quietly made her way to the kitchen.
As she reached for some fruit, the pain intensified, causing her to wince and brace herself against the counter.
Enzo, still half-asleep, heard her faint cry and hurried out of the bedroom. He walked up behind her, gently wrapping his arms around her waist and pressing a kiss to her temple.
Enzo: (softly) "Bonnie, what's wrong?"
Bonnie: (forcing a smile) "It's nothing... just cramps."
He gently turned her around, seeing the discomfort etched on her face.
Enzo: "Don't lie to me, love. I heard you in pain. Tell me what's really going on."
Bonnie sighed, leaning into him.
Bonnie: "I thought it was just cramps... but it's worse."
Enzo: "We need to get you to a doctor."
Bonnie: "No, I'll be fine-"
Before she could finish her sentence, her eyes rolled back, and she collapsed into Enzo's arms.
Enzo: (panicked) "Bonnie! No, no... wake up!"
He grabbed his phone and dialed 911, struggling to stay calm.
911 Operator: "911, what's your emergency?"
Enzo: "My fiancée... she passed out from severe pain. Please send help!"
911 Operator: "What's your name and address, sir?"
Enzo: "Enzo St. John. We're in Apartment B2."
911 Operator: "Help is on the way. Can you tell me what kind of pain she was experiencing?"
Enzo: "She thought it was period cramps, but it's much worse... she kept wincing before passing out."
911 Operator: "The ambulance will be there in three minutes. Stay with her and keep her comfortable."
Enzo: "Thank you... please hurry."
He ended the call, cradling Bonnie close.
Enzo: (whispering) "Stay with me, love... I can't lose you."
Moments later, urgent knocking echoed through the apartment. Enzo rushed to the door, opening it to find two paramedics with a stretcher.
Paramedic 1: "Are you Enzo St. John?"
Enzo: "Yes. Please... she's in the kitchen."
The paramedics hurried over, checking Bonnie's vitals.
Paramedic 2: "BP's high... she's burning up. We need to transport her immediately."
Enzo nodded, fear still gripping his heart as he texted the group chat with their location and what had happened.
Bonnie stirred awake, disoriented.
Bonnie: (weakly) "Where... where am I? Enzo?"
One of the paramedics gently reassured her.
Paramedic: "You passed out at home. We're taking you to the hospital. Your fiancé is right here."
Bonnie slowly turned her head to see Enzo holding her hand, stroking it gently.
Bonnie: (softly) "I'm glad... you're here."
Enzo: (voice trembling) "I'll always be here... always."
The paramedics wheeled Bonnie into the ER. Enzo stayed close until they guided him to the waiting area. Moments later, Elena entered the room, donning her doctor's coat.
Elena: (smiling reassuringly) "Hey, Bonnie. I'll be your doctor today."
Bonnie: (weakly) "Lucky me..."
Elena: "How are you feeling?"
Bonnie: "Just stomach pain and... a fever."
Enzo: "She also passed out... the pain was unbearable."
Elena: "Okay, we'll run some tests and figure out what's going on. Sit tight."
She left the room, leaving Enzo and Bonnie alone.
Enzo noticed the fear in Bonnie's eyes.
Enzo: (softly) "What's wrong?"
Bonnie: (looking away) "What if... what if it's serious? What if something's really wrong...?"
Before she could spiral, Enzo gently cupped her face and pressed a tender kiss to her forehead.
Enzo: "Whatever happens... we'll face it together. You have me. You have all of us."
As if on cue, Caroline, Stefan, and the twins entered the room, their faces filled with concern and love.
Caroline: "He's right. We're all here for you."
Bonnie: (smiling through tears) "Thank you... all of you."
After 30 tense minutes, Elena returned with test results.
Elena: (smiling) "Good news! The tests are clear... it's likely just severe cramps and stress. You'll be okay."
Bonnie: (relieved) "Really?"
Elena: "Yes, but you need a week of full bed rest no magic, no running around. Understood?"
Bonnie nodded as Enzo muttered:
Enzo: (grumbling) "Damn... that's unfortunate."
Elena: (laughing) "I heard that!"
Bonnie: (laughing too) "Enzo... it's just a week!"
Enzo: (mock-pouting) "We'll see how I survive..."
Everyone chuckled, relieved the scare was over.
After being discharged, Caroline dropped them off at home. Enzo prepared a light dinner while Bonnie rested on the couch.
They settled in, watching an old romantic film until they fell asleep, tangled together safe, loved, and thankful.
