In the end, Professor Wang decided to deactivate the intelligent chip. If the chip were allowed to take control, Jason's nascent intelligence would never fully develop. He wanted Jason to forget about the chip altogether.

  Thanks to the professor's insistence, Jason did not start elementary school with his younger cousin in September. It would have been incredibly harsh for the brilliant 15-year-old to go back to first grade. Fearing that Jason might be ridiculed at school, Professor Wang opted to teach him at home. But his daughter found an excellent solution to the problem.

She simply said to her daughter, "Frey, sweetheart, study hard at school, and when you come back, you can teach your silly brother, okay?"

  And so, driven by an instinctive motherly love, little Frey took the task very seriously and taught Jason with great care. The results were remarkable. The two children, both intellectually gifted, got along well. Frey would diligently study in school and then come home to teach Jason. Meanwhile, Jason's buried memories were slowly unearthed. Both made rapid progress.The family, composed of highly accomplished individuals, became thrilled when they noticed the extraordinary intellectual development of the two kids. Even Deputy Mayor Chen took a leave of absence to have a private discussion with his wife and father-in-law. By the end of the afternoon, they had launched the "Genius Initiation Project."

But as time went on, things got tougher for the kids. Every day was filled with an endless amount of homework. Frey, who had no childhood to speak of, managed to keep up at first, but eventually, she started falling behind. So, the three "Project Managers" decided to switch things up: Jason, who was advancing rapidly, became the teacher, and Frey, the former teacher, became the student.

Jason's intelligence soon reached the level of a high school sophomore, while Frey, out of sheer competitiveness, caught up to the fifth-grade level—quite impressive, considering she had only started first grade six months earlier.

The astonishing progress filled the adults with excitement but also a bit of fear. Seeing Frey starting to wear out, they decided to slow down the project, at least for her. When winter break arrived, they let the kids finally relax.

With the holidays here, the kids could finally breathe and have some fun. Wang Qili, Jason's aunt, took an extended vacation, though her husband was too busy with preparations for the upcoming legislative meetings to take time off. So, Wang Xing and his daughter brought their spouses and the two kids on a flight to Haishi. Jason and Frey were thrilled—they had never flown before and eagerly fought for a window seat. Luckily, they were in first class, where there were plenty of seats, so the matter was quickly settled.

After landing, a private car sent by Jason's maternal grandparents picked them up. Although there had been some tension between the two families due to past conflicts, those issues melted away when they saw Jason. The sight of their long-lost grandson was enough to break the ice.

Later, the two grandfathers snuck off to the study for a private conversation. As Jason's maternal grandfather pulled out a device to scan the room for bugs, his in-law raised an eyebrow and asked, "Since when did you become so paranoid? What's got you so rattled?"

Wang Xing sighed. "It's about your grandson. I found him four years ago, unconscious in Huadu. He was just lying in the street with no awareness—like a vegetable."
