The power was only out for six hours, yet it caused immeasurable losses.

Days passed, and the boy in the tank showed no signs of change. The researchers' enthusiasm waned, and the computer screen repeatedly flashed the message "Connection Failed," mocking their helplessness. The life-support equipment kept the boy's vital signs stable, and the ECG displayed his heart still beating valiantly. However, everyone understood that the small head had already died; from a medical perspective, his soul had long since left the body.

The lead scientist, Dr. X, sat staring blankly at the tank, mumbling to himself. He had been there for days, emanating a foul odor, yet he seemed completely oblivious, like a madman wandering the streets. Suddenly, the door swung open, and a staff member walked in, his tone flat as he reported, "We just received a call from above. The power will be out from 3 PM to 9 PM today..." The others were indifferent, numbed by the torment, but Dr. X sighed and calmly said, "Understood. All units, please ensure data is saved and prepare to shut down power. Today, we'll have a break until 9 PM. After that, the regular shift resumes."

After a week of intense work, everyone indeed needed a break, even if only for a few hours. One researcher foolishly asked, "Do we need to shut down the cultivation tank and related systems?" Dr. X glanced at the boy in the tank, his tone stern, "Are you trying to commit murder? All systems related to this experiment must remain operational... including the chip activation system!"

When the time came, everyone spilled out like deflated balloons, leaving only the numb supervisor sitting in place. As the lights flickered off and then back on, everyone in the corridor heard a voice from the intercom, the experiment's overall lead hoarsely exclaiming, "We did it, Dr. X! The chip has activated successfully! Come back quickly! Boo hoo..."

Dr. X froze for a moment, a glimmer of joy sparking in his heart, and immediately turned to rush back, followed by all the researchers in unison. Bursting into the control room, they heard the computer repeatedly announce, "Chip activation successful. Please input commands..."

Three months later, the secret research facility welcomed a new leader. The once-cheerful scientist who had joyfully taken his successful experiment to present to his superiors was no longer there. The new leader enthusiastically launched a new experiment but soon found himself caught in a deadlock. Some even proposed the concept of power outages during the experiment, but due to insufficient theoretical backing, it was ruthlessly rejected, and the trial stagnated once more.

The boy was transferred to a secret training base, where he would undergo intense training under the codename "Falcon." Driven by curiosity, Dr. X, using the smart chip and infrared receivers, input vast amounts of data and knowledge into the boy's mind. To Dr. X's delight, he discovered that all useful data had been crammed into Falcon's brain, yet the memory usage was less than one percent. The reinforced brain cells gave Falcon extraordinary learning abilities—he could almost remember everything, and the control system in his mind was replaced by the smart chip, enabling his data processing power to surpass that of all the world's computers combined. This was undoubtedly the world's first example of a perfect integration of brain and artificial intelligence. However, no one realized just how deep Falcon's potential truly was.

Falcon's existence did not spark global uproar since this experiment was conducted in secrecy and privately funded. Aside from the staff at the secret lab and the shadowy figures behind the scenes, the world was completely unaware of Falcon. Even his trainers had no idea that this quiet, obedient boy was actually controlled by a smart chip; they simply thought he was hardworking, docile, and an absolute genius.

Falcon underwent extensive training, despite the intensity being halved due to his age. The subjects and standards mirrored those of the British MI5 and the US Navy SEALs. After a year of training, Falcon had developed significant strength, surpassing his peers, and was considered superhuman. After several trial runs, word spread among the underworld that a formidable little killer known as "Falcon" had emerged from the East!

When an AI chip was implanted in his brain, he rose to powerStories to obsess over. Discover now
