Nina Dobrev is a Canadian actress best known for her roles as Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce in The Vampire Diaries. She has since become a popular fc for ocs within the fanfiction and roleplaying community, especially during the show's peak. Unfortunately, Nina is a Zionist who has made it clear that her support is for the colonist state of Israel.
On October 7, 2023, Nina used her Instagram account to show solidarity with Israel, sharing a "pray for Israel" post originally made by the blatantly obvious Zionist account @loweffortzionistmemes_. Since then, she has posted nothing related to the bombings of Gaza or anything about Palestinian martyrs whatsoever. She is among many members of the Vampire Diaries cast, such as Nate Buzolic, Claire Holt, and others, who have made pro-Israel and Zionist content.
Solidifying her stance, Nina has silently unfollowed her Vampire Diaries co-star, Michael Malarkey, once he began posting pro-Palestinian content on his social media platforms. She has also remained silent on the online harassment Michael had been receiving from Nate Buzolic for his views and for talking about his grandfather Suheil Bushrui, a famous Palestinian poet. Michael Malarkey has been attacked for his PALESTINIAN ROOTS, and none of his other co-stars came to his defense.
