Vic's Pov:
"Mike, get in here!" I yelled as I opened the Youtube icon.
"What do you want?" Mike questioned in an aggressive tone, he had just woken up, it was 1:30 P.M. Classic Mike.
"Jaime says that I've gotta' look up some Tony Perry guy to play guitar."
"Don't you already play guitar?"
"Well yeah, but the only way that Jaime is joining is if Tony is joining too."
"Maybe it would be better for the band, I mean you're not the best at guitar." Mike stated very bluntly.
"Well, don't get too excited there Whiskey Hands, he could be terrible." I told my younger brother as I clicked on a video of Tony's Don't Fear (The Reaper) cover, and Jaime helped with the vocals.
Mike and I were both at a loss for words. He was amazing, like a tiny guitar God. "GET HIM IN THE BAND NOW BEFORE ANOTHER BAND GETS HIM!!!!!" Mike yelled into my ear. He was really good, and they probably already had a small following. There was no downside to getting both of them in the band. I decided to call up Jaime to tell him that him and Tony were in the band.
Tony's POV:
When I walked into my dad's hardware shop, and I was late, he started to immediately interrogate me.
"Did you have fun at Jaime's"
"Yes Dad."
"Did you go to a party, I know that neighbor girl had one."
"She didn't invite me, so I didn't go."
"You're not very popular, are you?" Gosh Dad, thanks for reminding me. I just rolled my eyes at him in response. "You should spend some time with that neighbor girl, Amy, she just started working here.
"Dad I need to tell you-" Just as I started to talk Amy walked into the room. That happened every time that I tried to come out to my dad, or anyone really.
"Hey, Amy. I need to introduce you to my son, Tony! He's the one who will be training you today!" My Dad said very enthusiastically. I was not aware of that until that exact moment. He sent me off to the paint department to, I don't know, teach her about paint?
I felt uncomfortable the entire time because she was just looking at me, not even the paint, just me!!!
"So, paint is fun and all, but how would you feel about getting out of here?" She asked, popping her gum in a big bubble, which, might I add, was against the rules.
"We can't just leave?" I said, shocked. My dad would've killed me.
"No one will find out," she whispered, very close to my face.
"Okay, fine." My aggressive awkwardness made it impossible for me to say no, and I hated that.
We ended up going back to her house, there were still some kids who were drunk laying on her floor. It was terrifying. "So... how's school?" I asked, not really knowing what to talk about you.
"It's fine, I haven't gone in a couple of weeks, but I'm sure it's good." Everything about her confused me. "How's school for you?"
"I graduated last year actually." The conversation was going nowhere, both of us knew that.
"Ooohh, a smart boy,I like that." She said leading me into her room. This wasn't the same like when Jaime led me into his room, and I hated that. I sat down on her bed and made sure not to make eye-contact with her.
"So what college are you going to?" She asked, leaning in closer to me.
"I'm actually not going to college, I'm joining a band." When I said that I could tell that she got more attracted to me, that was my worst nightmare. She slowly put her hand on my thigh and I stiffed beyond belief. Luckily I was saved by by phone ringing, it was Jaime. "Sorry, I need to take this." I rushed out of her room, and into the bathroom. "What's up Jaime?" I asked. He never called me,unless it was something serious.
"I just got a call from Vic.." He said in a very sad tone, I assumed that we weren't in the band. "HE SAID THAT WE WERE DEFINITELY IN THE BAND!!!" He screamed into the phone. I wanted to scream, but then I remembered the situation that I was in.
"That's awesome Jaime, but I'm on a date thing right now and-" I needed Jaime to get me out of the situation that I was experiencing, but he cut me off.
"That's great man, getting yourself out there, have fun!" After that he hung up.
I wanted to yell at the idiot so much, but I didn't. I slowly walked into Amy's room to see that she was naked. I wanted to cry.
"I know you want some." She said, laying on the bed.
"I AM SORRY AMY BUT I AM A FLAMING HOMOSEXUAL AND I HOPE THAT EVENTUALLY YOU FIND A MAN THAT LOVES YOU AND ISN'T GAY!" I quickly ran out of her house, and sat on the porch of my house. Things were going to be so weird at neighbor parties because of that. I just wanted to stop being such an awkward piece of shit.
Jaime's POV:
I was happy for Tony, I'd always wanted him to be in a happy relationship. When I thought about it I realized that I had never actually seen Tony dating a girl, weird. Then I decided that I needed to put myself up on the market too, I wanted a person to be happy with.
I went to a local coffee shop/ book store to get my flirt on. I went to the coffee section and ordered two black coffees. Then it was time to find a nice lady.
I walked around the fiction section because I preferred girls that were huge fuckin' nerds. I found a cute girl reading a romantic novel. That usually meant that they had a lack of love, and were trying to make up for it by falling in love with fictional characters, no shame, I've been there done that. I sat down next to her and she looked up at me for at second, before going back to her reading. "Hey, I'm Jaime" I said as I handed her some coffee.
"Hey I'm Arabella, but you can call me Ara." When she saw the coffee Ara put down her book. "So what inclined you to talk to me Jaime?" she asked very bluntly.
"Well, I'm going to be very honest here, my best friend got a girlfriends so I thought that it would be time for me to get a significant other, and here you are."
"Slow your roll Jaime, I never said that I was going to be your girlfriend."
"I know, I know, I was just wondering if you would want to hang out today, then we can decide about the whole relationship thing?" I asked her, adding a cheesy smile for effect.
"Fine, but make a move on me, and your arms get cut off." After she said that I giggled a little, but then she just looked at me. I hoped that she was joking. We walked to a vinyl store, but she didn't want to go in for some reason, and I really needed to get a new record.
"Okay, I'll be in there for five minutes, tops. Would you mind waiting?" she shook her head in response.
I went into the shop, and the record that I was looking for was a little hidden, but I found it eventually. I paid for it and then left the store. When I got there Ara had left. She was nowhere in sight. I looked around for a little bit before seeing a post-it note stuck to the ground that read, "Thanks for the coffee ;)" I was so fucking pissed. I wanted a significant other, and instead I got a girl who used me for my coffee. At least I had Tony I thought, and then I realized that Tony had a lady person. I wanted to see how his hot date was going so I texted him.
J: How's the hot date turtle
T: That ended a while ago
J: so are you two official
T: Quite the opposite
J: I'm in the same spot brother
T: Maybe we would be better off just marring each other ;(
J: hehehehehehe that's a good one Tone
T: I gotta go explain to my dad why I left work early, bye buddy
I put my phone back in my pocket and started to walk back home. While deep in my thoughts I thought about what Tony had said. Marring each other. The turtle was kinda cute, and I was bisexual. It was a plan if we were both single by the time we would be like eighty. Besides Tony likes girls, as far as I was aware of.
