Tony's POV:
I headed over to Jaime's house to pick him up for our first real band practice. Apparently the guys already had an album out, so we needed to learn the songs, and hopefully start to tour soon. When I got to Jaime's house I rang the doorbell a couple of times, and no one answered. I was starting to get annoyed so I just used the key from under the rug. When I walked in Jaime was asleep on his couch. I wanted to let him sleep with every core of my being, but we were almost late for our first practice. I woke up Jaime by lightly slapping him a couple of times, and when he realized what was going on he frantically ran around his house gathering everything that he needed. By the time we both got back into my car Jaime was sweating buckets.
"Sorry Tone I got distracted and lost track of time..." He said looking at me apologetically.
"Whatever idiot" I said in a joking tone. Jaime gave me a big smile and we started to drive to Vic and Mike's house. It was obvious that we were both pretty nervous about how the first official "band meeting" went.
"Do you think the brothers fight a lot?" Jaime asked. I hoped not, I would feel really awkward if they just fought all the time, and that wouldn't make for a very good band. I just shrugged in response. "OOOOhhhh you're nervous aren't you little turtle." Jaime could tell that I was nervous by my body language, he knew me to well.
"I guess, I don't know. You know how I act when I meet new people."
"Yeah, like a turtle in it's shell. Just blow them away with your amazing guitar playing, trust me." Jaime was always good at giving me pep-talks, he was all together just amazing when it came to dealing with me.
We pulled up into the driveway of the Fuentes brothers. It was full of instruments, and Jaime and I were both blown away. "What do we do now?" I asked him, feeling too awkward in the situation.
"Just... kinda... start doin' things I guess?" Jaime's answer was as good as any. We started to unload our instruments and set up at our spots. I always liked being on the left, and Jaime was always on the right. For some reason we preformed better that way.
"Do you wanna just start playing?" I asked Jaime as he was tuning his bass.
He nodded and said,"Wanna play Don't fear the Reaper?" That was his favorite song to play, and the most difficult to play. I nodded and counted us in. When we started playing all of my fears shrunk, I felt like I was on the top of the world. Jaime and I were both jumping around the garage like crazy people. I just let the music flow through me. I hadn't even noticed that Vic and Mike were watching us from the door. Jaime and I finished the song, and I had already started sweating. "Come on Tone, is that really the best the you can do?" He asked jokingly. Then I heard a lot of applause from behind us. Jaime and I turned around to see Vic, Mike, and their parents loosing their shit over our performance. I immediately started to blush like crazy, and Jaime took a bow. The brothers joined us in their garage and we finally met Mike. Jaime had never met Vic before so he was kinda startled by how young he looked, and how old Mike looked.
We all sat on the floor to talk about band things. "So I wanted to show you two our newest album." Vic told me and Jaime as he handed both of us a CD. It was called "A flair for the Dramatic." At the rest of the band meeting Vic wanted to talk about Pierce the Veil as a whole and less practicing. He said that he always wanted to put on a good show, and that it was all about never letting the fans down. I agreed with him on stuff like that, the guys in our old band only cared about getting rich, and that's not what Jaime and I were about. "So, do you guys have any questions or anything?" Mike asked us. I still felt kinda shy around them so I just shook my head.
"When are we actually going to play?" Jaime asked very enthusiastically.
"Right now, I guess!" Vic yelled. We all jumped up and started to try some stuff out. By the end of practice we all had Chemical Kids and Mechanical Brides nailed. It sounded amazing. I realized that it was starting to get dark and that I would have to drive Jaime home soon. I told the guys that and Vic said, "I think that's the first time I've heard you talk all day, but if you have to go I understand." I chuckled a little at Vic's comment and grabbed Jaime. I literally had to tear him out of that garage, he never wanted to leave.
Jaime's POV:
I was sitting in the car with Tony, he was rambling on about Star Wars. Then I remembered that my brother was having a party at the house, and he said that there was going to be a lot of alcohol. I didn't want to be in that atmosphere all night. "Hey Tony?" I asked, interrupting him.
"Huh?" He said looking at me.
"My brother's having a party tonight so I was wondering if I could stay at your house for tonight?" I really didn't want to be around my brother when he was drunk; he always got really aggressive. Tony nodded and I told him just to take me to my house really quickly so I could get some stuff.
We could hear my house I block away. It was only ten and people were probably already shit-faced. When we pulled up I told Tony to stay in the car, but he wanted to make sure that I was safe. He waited in the living room, where all the partying was going on, while I packed my bags. It took me a while to pack. I couldn't find my favorite pajamas. When I left my room Tony was nowhere in sight. "Fucking idiot" I mumbled as I looked around my house for him, dodging people grinding on each other. I was about to give up hope right when I heard the crowd chanting "Tony! Tony! Tony!" I immediately ran to where all the chanting was to see Tony doing shots from afar. I frantically pushed my way through the crowd. When I got to the front I made it just in time to catch Tony before he almost passed out. I ran out of the house with him in my arms, and put him into the passenger seat. He started to regain consciousness as I was driving to his house.
"Is this heaven?" He asked, slobbering all over himself.
"No To-," but he cut me off.
"Cuz you look like an angel." He slurred. His lame pickup line was kinda funny, but that wasn't my main concern. My main concern was getting him into his house before his parents noticed how drunk he was.
I finally pulled up to his driveway and jumped out of the car. Tony somehow managed to get out by himself, and while I was checking the house to make sure that his parents weren't home he gabbed me from behind and just latched onto me. I knew that fighting him off of me would get me nowhere, so just accepted it. Luckily his parents weren't home, so I quietly tried to sneak him up to his room without waking up his sister. I got Tony into his room successfully and as soon as I closed the door his sister was standing in front of me. She scared the living shit out me. "What do you want small child."
"I want to know what's going on with my brother." She told me, as she tried to look into the room.
"Look, he's just tired."
"And drunk."
"How on earth do you know what that is?"
"I'm fifteen, not four."
"Okay well just leave Tony alone."
"How drunk is he?"
"I don't know, very."
"Is he going to die?" She started to tear up. I didn't know what to do in that situation, so I just ran downstairs, got her a cookie, and ran back upstairs.
"Here have this." I told her.
"HE IS DYING ISN'T HE!!"
"No, what the fuck chill." I said as I lead her back to her room and tucked her in bed. "He's just very drunk and very... funny right now." I tried to get her to calm down, and it ended up working. I walked back into Tony's room to see that he was sitting up in his bed, air guitaring. As soon as he saw me he motioned me over to where he was sitting. I didn't want to fight so I just sat down next to him. "What's going o-" But before I could finish Tony gabbed my face and started to kiss me. I was very very taken aback, but I soon started to kiss him back. I was surprised about how much I loved kissing Tony, I was surprised by how much I loved Tony. It was almost like the kiss had cleared up my feelings for him. Did he feel the same way about me?
Tony pushed me over on to the bed so that he was on top of me. It was so hot. I was hungry for his lips, his love. Tony started to take off his shirt, and it was at that moment that I realized how drunk Tony was. Having sex with him at this stage would just be taking advantage of him. "Whoa whoa I think you need some sleep Tone Bone." I told Tony, he agreed, but instead of sleeping like a normal person he just fell right on me. He fell asleep in seconds. I just accepted it and cuddled with him. I prayed to God that he would remember that night in the morning.
