Ghosts from the Past

As night hit the city and the clock started ticking past quarter to 12, Team survivor had just left the library having studied animal soul magic and finding nothing about the souls taking over...except one. If turning into a strong monster for the first time, the beast's soul can infect their hosts and change them forever. The problem with that is that Lisanna has had Harpy Soul for years now and it was one of Lisanna's most frequent souls. "So what happened to Elfman back in the day isn't happening to me?" Lisanna asked as Levy shook her head.
"No, it doesn't seem like it...but there is only one way to know, we will have to ask Elfman when we get back if he is awake." Levy spoke as the four people walked towards the Inn but in the streets someone met them half way, the person seemed to be a fairy tail member who hasn't been seen in seven years- then again they were barely seen back in the day at all. As Natsu approached the man in a blue hood casually, the man held out a hand with a nod "I wasn't sure your master would allow this Natsu." 'Mystogan' stated as Natsu chuckled.
"We caught him up on everything, now you'll have a reason to skulk around the capital Jell-" suddenly Natsu's mouth was covered by Juvia.
"Natsu-Sama, it's rude to call someone by their earthland counterpart. Remember this is Mystogan." Juvia covered quickly as Mystogan nodded.
"Remind me how you came up with this plan Natsu?" Mystogan asked as the five got to the door of the Bar Sun.

Before the five could continue their conversation, the clock struck midnight and a giant hologram appeared in the sky in the centre of town. What stood was a man in a pumpkin head as well as a witch's hat with a massive grin on his face. "To all of the guilds gathered for the Grand Magic Games...good morning." The man spoke as Natsu tilted his head confused.
"What the hell is that thing?" Natsu asked as Lisanna placed a hand on Natsu's back.
"I don't know, but we should get ready...they haven't done this before for the Grand Magic Games." Lisanna said seriously.
"We will now be winding down the 113 teams competing...to eight and to do that we must start our preliminary competition." The man spoke as instinctively Natsu and Juvia sprouted dragon wings, Levy used her Solid Script Igneel spell to summon Igneel to ride on, Jellal got his staff ready and Lisanna...hesitated. She wanted to instantly turn into one of her flying souls, but what if it takes control of her again and does something bad? Instead she climbed up on the back of Igneel as well as the Pumpkin head spoke some more.
"There are more and more guilds participating every year, and we don't want to spread the fun too thin. So this year the games will be between eight teams only. The contest is simple," The pumpkin man spoke as suddenly the ground beneath the five started to shift as the Sun Bar shot up on mechanical legs and was placed firmly in the sky with stairs slowly forming out of thin air as an orb of walls and debris forms in the sky.
"Mystogan, get on." Igneel speaks as Jellal nodded, getting on the back of the dragon.
"You may use any magic you wish, there are no limits. The first eight teams to get pass the goal will be our eight teams for the main event...but if all your members aren't present you will be eliminated." The pumpkin man spoke with venom in his voice.
"Start flying!" Juvia called as the team all started flying quickly towards the orb.
"One more thing, if any of you lose your lives in the labyrinth the organisers are not responsible." The hologram spoke as various teams scrambled up the stairs whilst Team Survivors plus Mystogan flew immediately into the labyrinth and within thirty seconds they charged through the goal.

Looking back into the labyrinth, Natsu immediately saw a group of five people getting close to the exit, they were a lesser known guild called Falcon's Claw. The guild had its fair share of rare magic users however the majority of their guild weren't too strong, except for their S-Class mage Shinteru who had decent lightning magic. They helped evacuate people in the kraken attack back in x787 due to being in the area and even assisted for a week in rebuilding the chaos that was left in the wake of the attack. As Falcon's Claw's team, lead by Shinteru, got close to the exit a black bolt of lightning descended from above them and struck them in a violent torrent of magic, even their S-Class Lightning Mage Shinteru fell unconscious to this attack. As the team of five fell to the floor unconscious, in stepped the team sent by the (technically) strongest guild in Fiore. Where Fairy Tail normally doesn't compete, a newer guild by the name of Saber Tooth rose through the ranks and took the official title as Fiore's strongest magic guild. The first of Saber tooth's members to walk through the entrance was a shirtless man with long spikey green hair who had lightning crackling over his body. The second to walk in was a woman with silver hair in prominently a cape that looked like a bunch of angel wings, not dissimilar to what Angel of the Oracion Seis wears. Next up walked another woman with long black hair and blue eyeliner and a mean glare on her face. Following the black haired woman was a man with an obscured face with long blonde hair alongside a very robin hood styled outfit just in red. Finally a man in completely gold armour walked in, he had a black cape on and none of his facial features could be seen, however Natsu immediately recognised this man as someone who attacked the guild just six months after Team Tenrou 'passed'. Juvia also smelled the same scent on the man, the two let out primal growls as Levy looked at the two worried. "First Lisanna acted feral and now you two? What's gotten into everyone today?" Levy asked as Natsu spoke.
"That's Ivan Dreyar..." Natsu spoke softly as a flash of red left the golden mask of Ivan Dreyars and another team walked through the goal.
Knowing that they needed to leave before a scene was made, everyone left for the rest room now accessible to them, just waiting for the day that they got to fight their masters son...
