Invisible Love -} Deuce Gorgon

Prologue

Alexa Invy is half human and half Invisible. Her father is the Invisible man yet her mother is human. Her parents met when they both left school and couldn't leave each other's sides. Her mother didn't care that he was seen as a monster because she always saw him as her husband.  

Jack Griffon changed his name when he married Alexa's mother, Sarah Invy as he didn't want to be associated with his human side. So when Sarah up and left one day with no explanation and no note it broke the pair. The whole situation was weird but one day they got a knock on the door saying that Alexa's birth certificate never had a mothers name it got even weirder. All traces of Sarah vanished and everyone that knew here thought they were crazy for making someone up like that. When Jack realised nothing was going to change what happened he moved him and Alexa far away from their old life and into a brand new one where he got a letter from the school about wanting to invite Alexa to the school. A week later Alexa got a letter from Monster High on her 15th birthday.

Alexa gently brushed her wavy blue hair looking in the mirror as her hands and arms would fade from being invisible and normal. She always struggled to keep her powers in control and turn invisible when she needs to but has never actually succeeded. Her father had given her a meditation to do every night before bed to relax herself and help her mind settle to control it then also gave her a breathing exercise to help her stop going invisible when her emotions get to much. 

She closed her eyes then breathed in for 4 seconds, held it for 5 then breathed out for 6. She did this three times before opening her eyes and seeing her normal pale blue skin. A sigh leaves her lips at the defeat of not being able to control her powers. 

Alexa places the brush on her vanity then picks up the red letter again and reads over the words printed on the parchment.  

"Am really good enough to be at the school? I'm not full monster so why should I even go? I'm not going to be taken seriously, I mean look at me my powers are out of control and I'm probably the worst monster to ever exist..." Alexa looks at herself in the mirror as a small tear gathers in her green eyes.

"A million thoughts in my head, should I let my heart keep listening?" Alexa walked up to her closet and picked out her outfit she wears nearly every day. 

"Cause up till now, I've walked the line, nothing lost, but something missing." Alexa looks down at her hands and notices one hand invisible and the other human. "I can't decide, what's wrong, what's right, which way should I go?" 

"If only I knew what my heart was telling me, don't know what I'm feeling, is this just a dream?Uh oh, yeah." Her suitcase laid on her bed, open and half packed, ready for her school.

"If only I could read the signs in front of me. I could find the way to who I'm meant to be, uh oh, if only. If only... if only."  She moved on to her backpack and put all the essentials she would need in a school day. Once she finished packing she headed down the stairs, her suitcase bumping a step or two. 

"Every step, every word, with every hour I am falling in. To something new something brave, to someone I, I have never been." Alexa placed her bag and suitcase by the door then took her keys and clipped them to her bag. 

"I can't decide, what's wrong, what's right, which way should I go?"  Alexa picked up the only picture that stayed normal that had her mother in and smiled. It was her with chocolate on her face and her mother with her arms around Alexa's body with a smile. She then noticed her hand turning human making her frown.

"If only I knew what my heart was telling me. Don't know what I'm feeling, is this just a dream? Uh oh, yeah." Alexa picked up her favourite book, The Chronicles Of Narnia, Prince Caspian and placed it in her bag. 

"If only I could read the signs in front of me. I could find the way to who I'm meant to be. Ah oh, if only, yeah." Alexa looked into the kitchen to see her dad happily cooking breakfast in the kitchen, she looks over at the picture of her mother and father, hoping that one day she could love someone like them and someone could love her just the same. 

"Am I crazy? Maybe we could happen, yeah. Will you still be with me when the magic's all run out?" Her emotions get the better of her and she is full invisible as a tear finally falls to the floor. 

"If only I knew what my heart was telling me. Don't know what I'm feeling, Is this just a dream? Ah oh. If only I could read the signs in front of me. I could find the way to who I'm meant to be. Ah oh." The girl turns around and looks around the corridor at all the pictures with half filled memories of her parents. "If only, yeah, If only, yeah, If only, yeah, If only, If only, If only."  She walks over to her stuff and zips her bag up finally.
