Chapter Five.

We had already started finals 2 week ago and just had one exam left for tomorrow. I was thinking less about Hayden for the past 2 weeks because I really needed to pass with good grades and thinking about him and everything wouldn't help . Tiffany and I were currently studying for our last exam, which was Biology.

"Okay, so we only have 2 pages left and we'd finally be done studying!" Tiffany said after sipping her coffee to keep her awake.

"I hope we finish them fast, I'm half dead and it's 3 AM." That's what we get for studying on the last minute.

"EMMA WAKE UP! IT'S THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!" Tiffany squealed with excitement.

"Stop yelling, it's like 6:30 in the morning and why the hell are you so hyper? Didn't we sleep at the same time?" I groaned, getting out of bed.

"I woke up and hour ago, drank my coffee and got ready." I look at her and see that she's ready from head to toe. Makeup, cute clothes, and wide eyes.

"Okay fine, make me a sandwich please while I get ready, it'll only take 10 minutes, unlike you." I said while heading to the bathroom.

I was answering the last question on the whole exam and I finally dropped my pencil down. Looking at the time, 3 minutes were only remaining and summer officially starts.

"Alright class, pencils down! I'll pass by to collect your exams." Mr. Lopez announced as he started collecting the exam papers.

"Have a great summer kids, and behave and be safe!" He was basically talking to himself since everyone was running outside.

"Emma it's finally summer! I'm so happy oh my god! First on our summer list is Kevin's party which is today by the way! So be at my house at 4 PM since the party starts at 7PM!" Tiffany grinned widely

"Glad you're excited to come to my party, Tiffany." Kevin said, appearing out of nowhere.

Tiffany blushed, "Well your parties are nice so I am excited yeah."

"Really? Is that all you're excited about?" I just rolled my eyes waiting for this to end because Kevin simply gets on my nerves, I mean everyone else does, too.

"Maybe and maybe not, but uhm yeah see you at the party Kevin!" Tiffany grabbed my hand and rushed to her car.

We were on our way to Mel's Ice cream because what else is a better way to start summer than ice cream, am I right? We entered the tiny, cozy shop and ordered our favorite flavors.

"Okay so since school's over I can go back to thinking about Hayden and thinking of a plan." I said

"A plan for what?" Tiffany asked

"Just a plan so that I can go see him I guess."

"I'm glad you're thinking about that but I thought you hated him, why do you want to see him?" Tiffany asked, obviously confused.

"I just want answers y'know, and I don't want to spend the summer with my dad alone, since you're going to Greece for like almost a month with your family." I shrugged, eating my ice cream.

"We'll think of a plan I promise, but after Kevin's party tonight, alright?" She really was excited for the party; excited wasn't even the right word to explain how she was feeling towards that party.

We got up and paid for our ice creams before leaving. Tiffany kept on rambling about the party and what she was probably going to wear but I rarely listened; I was thinking about a plan so that I can go meet Hayden.

After she dropped me off, I entered the house to find my dad draining alcohol in his blood, as he usually does.

"Ah Emma, haven't seen you in a few days." His eyes not leaving me as I went upstairs.

"Come back here and don't you dare ignore me! I am your father and you must show respect, you selfish stupid shit!" He spat those words on me.

"I'll show some respect when you deserve it!" I screamed to his face, not fearing him one bit at this moment.

After saying that, he punched me, really hard it probably will leave a bruise. "Next time you better not talk to me with that attitude, you hear me!" He just left the house probably going to the tiny store we owned, to continue drinking I'm guessing.
