Chapter 17

  Three days later

Su Cha stretched comfortably. From now on, she would no longer have to see those annoying females.

She casually took out an apple from the space and took a bite. The apples in the beast world were big and sweet, and were very popular with females.

"I'll go find some medicine for you and come back later." Su Cha took out another apple and put it on the table, then raised her chin to Cang Yuan.

Cang Yuan did not take it immediately. His emerald green eyes passed over Su Cha's white fingertips, as if he was thinking about something.

Although she had a large stock of medicines in her space, they would eventually run out. The variety of herbs in the back mountain was limited, so Su Cha planned to go to the clan warehouse to have a look.

After the bonfire party, the orcs in the tribe looked at her differently, and many orcs greeted her. Su Cha nodded coldly in response.

Su Cha told the tribe chief directly why she was there, and the tribe chief readily asked Xiong Qi to take her to the warehouse to have a look.

The chief was discussing the matter of salt stone with several older orcs in the tribe. The Ba Lin tribe found a new tribe with a salt mine to cooperate with; they would still continue buying salt stone from their Lan Li tribe. However, if they wanted fine salt, they would have to pay the same as everyone else.

Su Cha's eyes turned, and she thought of a way to get rich. She went to the patriarch.

"Chief, there is actually no need to curry favor with the Balin tribe. Take a look at this. I refined it myself." Su Cha placed the bamboo tube of salt on the table.

"We are discussing important matters within the clan. What do you, a little female, know?" The speaker was Mo Ze's father, Mo Qing, a man with a square face, thick black eyebrows, and thick lips. Mo Ze's appearance was inherited from his fox mother.

But after he took the bamboo tube and opened it, he could no longer say anything. He handed the bamboo tube to Mo Nian.

"Did you really refine this yourself?" Mo Qing really couldn't believe the reality before him.

Su Cha nodded: "How about it? Do you want to consider discussing cooperation?"

Mo Nian and several other orcs pinched a little salt, put it in their mouths to taste it. It was fine, as white as snowflakes and very salty, unlike the salt they exchanged with the Balin tribe which had a slightly bitter taste.

"Su Cha, where did you learn this method of refining salt?" The patriarch asked her with a serious expression.

"I don't like the salt in the tribe. I made it myself." Su Cha chuckled, half-seriously.

"Really?" Another orc stood up upon hearing this, with uncontrollable enthusiasm in his eyes.

"I'm Li Zheng, responsible for the exchange of necessary materials in the tribe, including salt." Li Zheng met Su Cha's puzzled eyes and did not forget to introduce himself.

  Su Cha nodded politely.

The clan leader called a few people aside to discuss something. Su Cha was not in a hurry and waited patiently.

After a while, several orcs came back and the chief spoke first.

"Su Cha, what's the yield of the fine salt you extracted?"

"Three salt stones this big can probably produce a bamboo tube of fine salt." Su Cha pointed to a stone as big as a head.

Although they tried their best to remain calm, Su Cha still saw surprise in their eyes.

  Mo Nian calmed himself down.

After calming down, Mo Nian tried to make his voice sound normal: "When you say cooperation, how do you want to cooperate? How do you need us to cooperate?"

Su Cha touched her chin with her right hand, thought for a while and said, "I can teach the orcs in the tribe how to make salt, but I want 30% of the profit from your salt sales. But you have to ensure that what I teach you cannot be passed on to others."

There are no legally significant contracts in the beast world, and she is really worried about the beastmen's behavior.

Mo Nian and Li Zheng's eyes met, and as Mo Nian nodded slightly, Li Zheng spoke.

"We can agree to 30% of the profits. It's also easy to keep the method secret. I can ask the beastmen to swear an oath to the Beast God. If you are still not reassured, you can choose a few males and teach them." As if afraid that Su Cha would not agree, he proposed a second method.

In fact, the highest bottom line they had just discussed was a 50-50 split, which is a common profit-sharing rule in the beast world.

Since Su Cha is a female who doesn't understand anything, they won't be stupid enough to remind her.

"Okay, then you have to swear that even if the next chief takes over, as long as I am still in this tribe, you must give me 30% of the income forever." Su Cha automatically ignored the suggestion of finding a few more males.

  She can't afford it.

"Okay, but your salt needs to be consumed by orcs for a period of time to make sure it is not harmful to the body, only then can we cooperate with you." The patriarch put forward his request reasonably.

"Okay." Su Cha agreed and understood.

Su Cha successfully got a few pieces of salt stone from the clan leader for free, and also found some herbs that she could use.

Su Cha also found something good, sugarcane.

"Uncle Xiong Qi, come here." Su Cha hooked her finger at Xiong Qi.

  Xiong Qi moved closer curiously.

"Uncle, when you go out hunting and gathering, do you see a lot of this kind of sugar cane?"

"You're talking about the sweetroot tree. There are a lot of them, but they're hard and troublesome, and can easily make your teeth bleed, so females don't like them." Xiong Qi took a look and explained to Su Cha.

"Uncle, I want this sweet root tree. I will buy this sweet root tree for 5 beast coins."

" Are you sure you want to spend 5 beast coins for this one? Anyways, how many do you want?" Xiong Qi agreed readily, thinking that this female's hobby was quite special.

"I'll take all the ones that are picked. And they have to be whole. Just send them directly to my house later." Su Cha said affirmatively.

"No problem." Xiong Qi patted his chest and assured. Five beast coins for one plant was not a low price. If he found a lot, it would not be a problem to earn one or two hundred beast coins a day.

After chatting with Xiong Qi for a while, Su Cha slowly walked towards the hill behind the tribe.

Although her hand has not healed yet, Cangyuan's leg injury can no longer be delayed. If it is delayed any longer, he might really become lame for the rest of his life.
