Chapter 27
Two days later, the clan leader sent someone to inform Su Cha of the time to leave for the Gathering market.
When Su Cha arrived at the square, she found that Bai Jiaojiao was also there, chatting with several females.
Seeing Su Cha, she came forward and greeted her enthusiastically: "Su Su, are you going to the Gathering market too? Are you here alone?"
Su Cha nodded, and then Bai Jiaojiao complained about Cang Yuan as usual.
The tribe organizes a trip to the Gathering market every month. Those who bring males will go with their own males. Those who don’t bring males also have special carts pulled by bull-beasts, but the bumpy ride is not very comfortable.
Because it was Su Cha, the tribe leader specially asked Xiong Da to accompany her for a while.
A group of orcs were travelling through the forest with females and cargo. It took about three hours for the group to reach the Gathering market.
From a distance you can see the crowds of people, all kinds of orcs, the scene is very lively.
According to Li Zheng's introduction, the Golden Leopard Tribe is very good at business, and one can often exchange many things from the Golden Leopard Tribe.
Over time, the surrounding tribes came here to exchange supplies, and then a gathering market was formed.
The purpose of this visit was to sell salt, so they set up a stall.
Su Cha rejected Bai Jiaojiao's invitation to go with her and followed the tribe leader.
Mo Nian had lived for more than two hundred years and knew quite a few orcs. Li Zheng was not bad either, and he soon had a pleasant conversation with several of them.
Orcs from several tribes tasted the fine white salt and were all shocked. They asked if it was obtained from the mermaids.
Li Zheng pretended to be mysterious and said, "It doesn't matter where it comes from. What matters is that our tribe can provide this high-quality fine salt for a long time. My tribesmen have tried it and it is harmless to the body."
Then Su Cha saw Li Zheng selling a tube of fine salt for 500 beast coins.
Su Cha looked around boredly, and her sight fell on a teenager with bunny ears on his head that looked easy to lift.
Su Cha leaned closer to him and pointed at the rabbit fur in front of him: "Rabbit beastman, why do you want to sell your own fur?"
The Rabbit Beastman was startled by the sudden voice. Seeing that it was a good-looking female, he straightened his body and explained:
"Our fur is the softest, and females like to use it when they are in heat. We shed our fur every year anyway, so these are washed and dried."
"Also, my name is Tu Mu, what's your name female?"
"My name is Su Cha." When Su Cha heard about the estrus period, she realized that the female orcs here only had their periods once a year, so they only had one chance to get pregnant every year.
After chatting with Tu Mu for a while, Su Cha learned that orcs like rabbit orcs and rat orcs, who cannot hunt ordinary wild beasts because of their lack of strength can only rely on other things to exchange for some meat.
Crops like rice, are grown in large quantities by the Rat Orcs.
Su Cha thought about it and asked Tu Mu about the cotton plant.
"Tu Mu, have you ever seen a plant with yellow or white flowers this big? Oh no, maybe even bigger, and fruits are about the same as your rabbit hair when opened?" Su Cha made a palm-sized circle, and then remembered that plants in the Beast World were larger.
"I haven't noticed it, but we rabbit beasts like to collect all kinds of seeds. There are quite a few species that bloom this kind of flower. If you need it, I can pick some and sell them to you next time."
"When will you come next time?" Su Cha inquired.
"I don't know. Usually we come here when we have something to sell, sometimes half a month, sometimes two or three months."
"I will come here again at this time next month. If you have any, please bring them to me. If they are what I want, I will buy them all."
"Okay"
Su Cha and Tu Mu quickly decided on the next meeting place. Su Cha also bought all the rabbit fur on Tu Mu's stall, and picked out a lot of useful seeds and herbs.
All in all, so many things only cost 280 animal coins. Su Cha readily gave 3 shell crystals.
Tu Mu didn't expect Su Cha to buy so many things. He had been selling these grasses for a long time and no one bought them.
But Tu Mu did not accept Su Cha's shell crystals. Instead, he took out another 200 animal coins and said "Um, Su Cha, can you sell me a tube of the fine white salt from your tribe?"
He had also been observing for a while. The salt in Su Cha's tribe was sold in several barrels at a time. He didn't know if they would be willing to sell it to him if he only wanted one tube.
Su Cha saw that Tu Mu was being so cautious, so she smiled and said, "What's wrong with that? Wait a minute."
Su Cha went back and said something to the old orc.
Su Cha handed the bamboo tube to Tu Mu and returned his 200 beast coins.
Tu Mu reluctantly accepted Su Cha's kindness and decided to go back and gather his tribesmen to help this kind female find what she wanted.
The commotion here soon attracted the attention of the Golden Leopard Clan, and the clan leader and Li Zheng were quickly taken away for a chat.
Su Cha was not too worried, so she followed Bai Jiaojiao who had returned from shopping.
